• A glimpse at God and how He sees us.
Psalm 139:16 “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.”
God is not bound by time or space and never surprised by anything. He created everything and everybody. He is never disappointed by His children. (Disappointment is the result of an expectation that wasn’t met.).
Psalm 139:16 says God’s eyes saw each individual’s body (in every stage of development and decay) before it was even formed and before He formed each day and all its challenges for each individual He planned them all and established them outside the boundaries of time and space to be perfectly placed within those boundaries.

Great question. I believe wholeheartedly in the fact that God created us with free will. That may seem to contradict my understanding of God’s having created everything and everyone and known everything about them before their substance was even in existence within the bounds of time and space (Psalm 139:16). However, I believe it is integral.
Although God knew everything about us before we existed and knew our destiny, that doesn’t void our free will. He gives us all the opportunity to have a relationship with Him and to be with Him eternally, but He also gives us the opportunity to choose our own way (that leads to death: separation). You can call it predestination or foreknowledge, but He doesn’t force us, He provides the consequences of sin and a path to life. We are saved by His grace through our faith in His finished work and His plan that allows us to enter eternal life(Ephesians 2:8-9. Works don’t save us, but if we have the kind of faith in Him and His plan that saves us, there will be works that follow (James 2:18).
@Daveclark5 Thanks. So, correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like you are distinguishing between omniscience and control. God’s knowledge does not preclude free will.
