Elon Musk surprised with his decision to turn down a coveted seat on Twitter’s board of directors; however there’s probably much more to it then meets the eye.
Unencumbered by board membership, the largest Twitter shareholder may be in a position to pull off more powerful moves aimed at freeing the social media platform from the iron grip of woke dictators. Stay tuned.

As of this morning he's announced an offer of ~60% over market for 100% shares. He's got ~10% and it's unlikely the rest of the board has >20%. So, if he gets just 20% more he can control all Board decisions. If > 40% he can force a vote to privatize.

Never tweeted or twittered - have no interest in doing so. See little value in such social media applications. So I really do not care that Elon Musk is a share holder in Twitter. Makes zero difference in my life.

Makes two of us iThink. Twitter is a complete waste of time.
However, I do understand the massive influence it has on me personally, in terms of corroding freedom of speech and fuelling the leftist takeover of America.
@GeeMac I suppose you have a point there. Twitter seems to be the medium by which "antifa" animals organized their tactics during the year of destruction and burning. And that did indeed have a still reverberating effect on our culture - our lives.
I think the ongoing campaign to rein in Twitter and to transform it into an objective forum - loyal to 1st amendment tenets is silly and futile. Might be smarter and easier to find ways to crash the site - as often as possible.
