Imran Khan, has been ousted as PM of Pakistan and you can bet that the US Dept is behind this latest regime change. Once again, the USA uses their political influence and 'extortion' as they told a 'US loyalist Pakistan Ambassador' that they would forgive something (which what it was wasn't specified but must have been something important to Pakistan) if the Pakistan Parliment voted 'no confidence' to send Khan packing. The US has long wanted Khan gone as he 'vocally' opposed the US 'war on terror', primarily because of the theater it was occurring in and the fallout from the military campaign on Pakistan's stability. Khan was angered because the supposed 'war on terror' forced Pakistan to have to fight to protect themselves from terrorist's incursion into his country because they were fleeing US forces in Afghanistan, which drained Pakistan's coffers. Their other reasons to depose him included: khan's support of China , his support of Hamas and the Palestinian groups which put him at odds with the Bush Doctrine stance on terrorism, his diplomatic associations, his desire for a more Muslim type state which made him persona-non-grata and finally his refusal to condemn Russia along with his opinion that a diplomatic resolution not a militarily action was more appropriate. All of these placed him squarely in the US's cross-hairs. Bottomline they depised him because he wouldn't be their puppet.
Now we're seeing mass protests against the US backed coup d'etat to remove Khan. Khan was no angel but the US has again intervened to impose their authoritarian will on another sovereign nation. The newly installed PM puppet, Sheriff, even has corruption cases pending against him but his appointment may (will) result in quashing those charges with a little help from the corrupt DC regime's State Dept to make those charges magically disappear,,,poof!
The US has a lot of power but continued massive protests may just pull the curtain down on their latest puppet-master production, no. We shall see...
