You can't keep your off spring in detention at home for 15-20 years is the trouble.
@angelo the lockdowns have shown it can be done. They can still have fun times at malls or at the beach or hiking, etc,., but at least they're away from the brainwashing being done in public schools.
@angelo home detention? Depends on how you do it. There's a difference between home detention (with no or limited socialisation) and home education. Most schools these days (especially public ones) are little more than indoctrination centres/baby sitting centres, that mainly teach compliance and punish those who question and show individuality. Intelligence is crushed in favour of conformity.
And it shows in the formed adult.
Any NPC can do well in an institution, doesn't mean they're smart.
