Previous to 1932, debt and inflation were not a problem, and after 1932, they became huge problems. Roosevelt was elected in 1932.
Part of the fault is WW2, and part of the fault is Roosevelt's leftism.
Wars cause debt. WW2, WW1, War of 1812, Civil War, and Revolutionary War all added to the debt.
After a war, you're supposed to pay down the debt. Jackson considered the national debt to be an abomination and he paid it down to zero.
Obama exploded the debt, and it was during peacetime. Loser.
America recovered from WW2 debt because it still had economic sense. Today, Democrats are reckless with debt. Instead of thinking of paying it down, they're adding more to it. There is no chance that America will defeat the debt. Hyperinflation is certain.
To win a war, you have to maximize energy, and you have to induce the foe into going bankrupt.
Biden increased debt and decreased energy.
Previous to 1915, inflation was negligible.
The gold standard was ditched in 1971. Inflation existed previous to this.
What additional economic indicators matter? If people send me data, I'll plot it.

When debt rose under Obama, Democrats held the presidency, the Senate and the House. Blame rests solely on Democrats.
When debt rose in the 80s, Republicans held the presidency and Democrats held the Senate and the House. You cannot blame this on a single party.
Once upon a time, government spending got stuff done. America won wars. The insterstate freeway system got built.
Today, Democrats are incapable of building anything. California projects usually fail. Given this, the government shouldn't be spending money.

Congress passes the budget. The President only proposes, and often when in the opposition party, Congress completely ignores the President, as happened in the 80s with Republican Presidents. You were right the first time. Democrats universally have no understanding of fiscal responsibility. True Republicans are defenders of the Constitution, therefore also fiscally responsible.
The American Left, meaning Democrats, socialists and Communists, are so willing to lie to achieve their utopian ideals, whether or not a majority disagrees, whether or not history has always shown that runaway government spending ALWAYS results in inflation, and often results in the devaluation of the currency and the destruction of the economy, that they will ignore every evidence that shows that their utopian ideals among flawed human beings will ALWAYS fail and cost terrible suffering and loss of life - beginning with the revolutionaries.
