Canada’s socialist leader Jagmeet Singh was crying the blues today after he was jeered during a visit to a campaign office this week. Singh’s leftist party is propping up the minority Trudeau government.
What’s interesting here is how every major news service in Canada has turned the minor incident into a major story. Worse, all of the stories make several mentions of the Freedom Convoy, which had absolutely no connection, directly or indirectly, with Singh’s unpleasant encounter. The left uses Canada’s truckers as the scapegoat for every problem in the country.
The media constantly warns of the dangers of the “far” right, while the left — the “no justice, no peace” mob, wages smear campaigns, silences its opponents, shames, intimates, and fires off threats with impunity.
Jagmeet says of the jeering, “it was like anger I’ve never seen before.” Really? When leftists picked up clubs and axes and recently attacked isolated pipeline work camps in Northern British Columbia, the national media and the socialists barely raised an eyebrow.
No politician should receive death threats or be assaulted, but neither should an oil and gas workers. As for Jagmeet, who gets a six-figure income for scolding and moralizing ordinary Canadians, the crowd who jeered you was right. Dickhead.
