2206070930Tu CLASSISM AND RACISM ARE TWO DIFFERENT FORMS OF BIGOTRY?

They may or may not operate in tandem, or even more for that matter? Years ago there was a popular song disparaging short people --- people shrugged it off as humor, bu to this day if you ask a female what she wants in a man the very first qualification she’ll cite is that he be tall – unless he’s rich, in which case he can be as short as he wants.

It’s not an uncommon thing for actors to have hidden props to increase their height on screen just for that one female prejudice. Women aren’t abused, if anything they’re the most pampered creatures that have ever walked this Earth.

I must here state that I’m at a disadvantage here. My childhood was spent as a little half naked street urchin roaming the street and back alleys of what is most likely the most intellectually affluent area in the whole world? I can only think of one possibly more so in England. But I digress. My only point is that the area of which I speak actually took the ‘equal’ part seriously in the phrase ‘separate but equal.’ Don’t burn me alive, I’m just saying that I don’t have the experience needed to make a good assessment of the racial conundrum Dr. King did. All I can say is that from where I roamed as a child black education looked exceptionally good. That’s not to say, or even imply that it was or was not elsewhere – I just don’t know?

What does seem self evident is that any political party founded by a known slave trader, in addition to holder of his own slaves to work his plantation; and whose policies currently supported by the KKK (Klu Klux Klan) just can’t be something that Dr. King would support now or ever?

On another note, I keep hearing the refrain by women that they want a ‘HIGH VALUE’ man. Doesn’t that seem a bit classist as opposed to racist to you? In either case it’s ‘bigotry’ no matter how you analyze it.
