I'm sure this is not new to some of you. Highly recommend if you have not watched this film. Really helps to put in perspective this nutter world we live in now. 2+2=5.
I have found getting away from social media and the news and looking at the world through my own eyes and talking with people I get a better realistic view of the state of affairs. I live in Virginia. I have not seen empty shelves at the supermarket, but I do see higher prices. People want affordable health care. People are angry that home ownership is a thing of the past and that the American dream of home ownership has been given over to investment banks. People feel detached from the systems of government. People want term limits. Our "representatives" do not represent.
Final thought. The one piece I believe our founding fathers missed, or I guess didn't count on because they never imagined that there could be such a thing as a "career politician". Politicians should not address issues without the will and signatures of their constituents. In other words unless a certain number of signatures are collected by the people and then sent to their representative, the representatives does not act. I believe this would force politicians to spend more time at home, only address issues the people care about, and force lobbyist to lobby the people and not the politicians.
