Somehow this is also seen among gang conflict in American hoods. Related to family breakdown I would imagine and lack of father figures, combined with cultural value of these communities.

School Violence:

Among high school youth (grades 9-12): 22.6% report being in a physical fight, 16.2% reported carrying a weapon and 7.8% reported carrying a weapon on school property. 1

Community Violence:

In the community, an estimated 50-60% of urban youth are exposed to neighborhood violence. In some neighborhood samples, that number climbs to nearly 100%.2

Up to one-third of urban male youth report being the victim of violence including beaten or mugged, attacked with a knife or stabbed, or shot by another person.3

Among adolescents ages 15-17, African American youth living in high-burden urban communities (similar to some communities on the South and West sides of Chicago) are at the greatest risk for being exposed to community violence than any other population in the United States.4

Someone suggested that if you can’t climb the social and economic rankings or you perceive yourself as unable to climb it, than especially young males try to go about climbing the rankings in a gang system of hierarchy, resulting often in premature death.

This becomes a cultural thing. In American predominately "black" communes, being a rapper singing about hoes and drugs, being a drug dealer, or being an athlete far outweigh interest in any other fields that would help escape such a tragic fate. The excuse is the obsession with skin color and claiming it’s the reason things are as they are. Super dumb excuse that has become an obsession and can never be questioned. And also because money does what monkey do. You put a child in any environment you want, and it will copy what it sees like primates do. You put him among degenerate queers and groomers and it will think it’s normal. That is why systemic grooming operations are in American schools. Get them while they are young and malleable.
