Credit card companies will now assign a special code for US firearm purchases.
This move is being dubbed a “major win for gun control advocates,” because it essentially makes it easier for these companies to track who is purchasing guns and the frequency of those transactions.
Credit card companies will now assign a special code for US firearm purchases.
If purchases seem “suspicious,” law enforcement may even be tipped off. Apparently in an attempt to stop the next mass shooting before it happens.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Easy fix for regular customers. Set up a tab, credit account not tied to any plastic. Walk in, show your photo ID (like what is done in every country in the world except US when voting), put the purchase on your tab. Pay with check -- that can take a few days to clear, but you have a tab.
Could be cheaper for the retail shop since there would no longer be the 2-5% extra that the plastic companies demand. Nothing is ever entered on a plastic account -- and they lose money.

One of my efforts the past few years has been to pay cash to small businesses and use cards with large corporations. If use cash at large corporations, I still pay the card fee that they have priced into products, but the corporation doesn't. Some small businesses still offer discounts for cash.
