When I was young the world existed under the cloud of M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction) From the late 1950's to the 1990's that was the policy of the USA and USSR. A bit like two men standing in a swimming pool full of petrol each threatening the other to set it alight. Not a great advertisement for the human thought process. We were lucky! There have been many instances of near disaster! And now we are faced with a Russia that has been pushed to its limits of tolerance at being surrounded by N.A.T.O. and remember N.A.T.O. has access to nuclear weapons. Russia has moved some of its nuclear armaments. This should scream alarm around the world and those in control in the USA (That would not be Creepy Joe) should abandon their plan to dismantle Russia and seek peace. I think the pipeline was the last straw for Russia. But is there a chance? With the current leadership I would not be hopeful! I think (unfortunately) that those with the power to avoid disaster are Insane! Really I think they are clinically INSANE !!!!!

If you have noticed, China has been doing its absolute best for the past 20 years to dismantle the US.
On NATO expansion. Tell me, the sovereign nations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuanian, they do not have the right to choose who they may or may not align with?
A decision made without consulting them in 1992 should bind them for all eternity?
Are they subservient and second class peoples who must trade and align with whoever you decide they must trade and align with?
Should Finland and Sweden not have the right to decide who they are to be align with?
Funny how people who wants more independence for their own state (right wingers in the US) and country (Australians etc) also wants to deny that right to others.

Well we lived under "MAD" 50's thru the 90's, and now we are so much more sophisticated and modern that we might actually have a real nuclear war. I don't know why but it seems those older times were better.

Democrats are insane, and always have been. The public has always been so dumb as to believe their slander against Republicans. Democrats HAD to slander Republicans. If they didn't try, Republicans would have made them look so bad, the criminal enterprise known as Democrats would have disappeared long ago. And they succeeded far beyond their wildest dreams. Their slander of Republicans always made for good sensational news, so the media was always willing to reinforce that garbage.
