Jordan Peterson: The problem with Twitter is that it can be used anonymously.

Peterson claims that anonymous posters are "literally a demonic force" and "not even human."

He calls for all anonymous accounts to be banned and says that big tech companies should be legally required to deanonymize the internet.

It is inevitable, isn’t it? In the end, every liberal inevitably finds itself to be self-righteous, hypocritical, a tyrant, and a control freak. That is why Nazism, Communism, and Feminism, could only grow out of liberalism. The more liberalism and liberals leave behind the old traditional religions, the more the inherent contradictions in liberalism manifest themselves and the pathological nature of liberalism emerges.

Seeing Peterson, the liberal goes from a beloved father figure to the fatherless generations of boys, and from “clean your room” stories to a self-righteous Sam Harris type figure. Sam Harris still holds the record for destroying any pretense of intellect or reason with one interview, but Peterson is a close second. I swear liberals are mental nut jobs. Why else would they be liberals?

In Fools, Frauds and Firebrands (2015), Roger Scruton reminds us that “intellectuals are naturally attracted by the idea of a planned society in the belief they will be in charge of it” (p. 12), and this is one reason why they most often start with the area over which they have the most control: language.

Another reason is because reality has a stubborn habit of not cooperating with their utopian visions: thoughts are easier to control than economies or the revealed preferences of individuals.

Anon has been misused, horribly, and worse by bots. JP has that right.

But, we need to keep in mind the power the commie trash wields. E.g., PayPal can fine you if what you say anywhere on the WWW is not liked by them. Patreon can ban you if you speak out freely -- if your "free speech" is not what they approve. So, there is a serious, life threatening risk to speaking freely, even if supposedly capitalist orgs are after you. This is when anon is valuable.

It is also kinda parallel to how elections are held, and for the same reason.
No easy solution.
