Looks like this’ll be a precedence setting case without doubt. It’ll be interesting to see if non-location specific bound DNA can be used to successfully prosecute a crime. Every human being goes around shedding their DNA willy-nilli everyday of their lives – you can’t be alive without it.
The best case is that Kohberger came in contact with the sheath they found somewhere somehow. Find the store that sold him the knife with sheath and he’s cooked.
Using rape-kits without a rape sure seems like a strange thing to be necessitated. And, again, where’s the motive? With no motive, this guy’s criminally insane even if they accept the DNA ?
Kohberger could’ve simply been shopping somewhere like an army surplus store. Of course if the store has video of him purchasing the sheath that’d be the key that locks his cell door whether he’s insane or not?
One thing about it, if this boy didn’t kill these kids he gotta be setting a record for misfortune. Dark-Cloud would certainly be a good nickname for this boy here on in regardless of how it turns out?
