Throughout the entire history of the human race culture has ‘displaced’ culture time after time by any number of means including but not limited to conquest – a culture might even be displaced from within by foreign ideologies such as is taking place within western culture today – socialism being a foreign ideology to liberty in all respects. Culture being: “the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.”

I’m not going to say that the European affect on established cultures in the western hemisphere was necessarily a good thing because it actually wasn’t. In fact the only reason black peoples were purchased from Africa was to replace the failed prior efforts to enslave the native Americans. But I suppose that’s another story?

What’s interesting is the willingness of American Indians to pretend innocence when the history of the Americas is strewn with conquest and/or displacement of whole Indian nations long prior to any European setting foot on this western hemisphere. Massacres and enslavement(s) was nothing new to the Americas – the Europeans didn’t bring these things to noble savages living their lives in peace and harmony in a paradise of some sort.

THE QUESTION IS: Why is it that the conquests by/of western civilization somehow need be judged differently than those of any other throughout human history? Is it a subversion of western civilization by post-modern Marxists? The United States is a multi-cultural country without restriction(s) on anyone continuing their cultural practices within the boundaries of the law of course.

PS. Western Civilization is an umbrella extending over many different cultures each with individual autonomy – the opposite of global socialism’s goal.
