I'm not religious in the sense that I don't follow any particular group because I don't agree with the dogmatic/tribalistic/collectivist/authoritarian elements. I can agree with specific and general principals, but not the whole. Used to call myself an atheist for that reason, but the atheist shoe doesn't quite fit so find your own label.
As far as worship of gods/deities/idols/symbols goes - every religion does it in one form or another. Those are usually positive or at least transfer some sort of positive message. This statue does not. What possible positive message/idea does it convey? Seemingly none, if anything it looks like it's designed to mock.
While a lot of religions had negative/evil/bad deities/gods etc, these weren't generally worshipped - and the ones that were, were generally cults (eg. the cult of Kali and Moloch which had child sacrifice), and evil one's at that too.
Even as non religious, this is obviously evil and nefarious. I don't have to be a Christian to see that the worship of Satan is either; a fake act in an effort to be rebellious/edgy/seem 'alternative'/ mock what they fear or hate (for whatever reason), or just the religion of the depraved and empty narcissists that will end up dying alone in abject poverty with a heroin addiction (like their founder).
In summary: the statue was made by a negative loser with the intention to mock that what she opposes (for whatever reason) and to fly the war flag of the elites (which has always been an anti-human, depraved death cult of narcissists/sociopaths/psychopaths). Whatever BS arty reason given, truth is it's a symbol of 'we hate you and we're going to spit in your face'.
Thank you for sharing your views. Concerning cults of child sacrifice, there is an interesting and horrifying parallel between present day and the time of Moloch. Today, the justification is often a matter of prosperity: the mother will have one less financial burden, more time for school/career, be able to make more money, etc. In ancient times children were sacrificed to ensure a good harvest, to bring rain, and to bless homes. Archeological digs in the Middle East have found entire cities where every house had a child’s corpse buried beneath the foundation. This was done to ensure a prosperous life for the inhabitants.
