Why we hate you, why we fight you

I'm one of those who always thought the atrocities carried out by jihadists were senseless and irrational, the result of unadulterated evil. I think that's an easy rationalization when we can't put our finger on the real reason. This "letter", though 7 years old, might shed some light. One thing is certain...whether cultural, political, or religious, extremism is a dangerous thing.

Hate is encouraged by Islam. Unfortunately, it is repressed in the west. The letter, in my view, states they will unequivocally hate those not conforming to Islam. It couldn't be more clear.

That pretty much sums it up where jihadists are concerned. Their hatred might seem senseless to you and me, but these people are groomed from birth to hate infidels. To them, religious-fueled hatred is a way of life that makes complete sense. And that's what I find unnerving...with each generation comes a new wave of hatred. I really don't think there will ever be a way to break the cycle.
@coalburned Change will not occur without amendments to the original writings; and I don't think that is about to occur. It's a completely controlled way of life - no departures allowed - even in thought.
