I had a thought in the middle of the night this morning (about 4 AM). The Government is sending out $1200 checks to everyone that made less than $75K last year.
Since the government has to print "new money" to have enough to do this, why not PRINT MORE???
If the government printed more "NEW MONEY", they could send the same people ONE MILLION dollar checks each!!
Doing that would end POVERTY, and the need to to have Welfare or any of those other government hand outs, and the agencies that administer those funds!!!
Of course, that would mean that all those employed at those agencies would become unemployed. That should not be a problem since, I hope, most of them don't make more than $75K, and they would also get a CHECK!!!
Another problem would then exist! POOR people would be the the ones that earned MORE THAN $75K last year!!!! The Government could print a little more "NEW MONEY" and double the income of the "NEW POOR"!!!
The "NEW POOR" then would have a chance to survive the DEVALUATION OF THE DOLLAR, and the resulting INFLATION!!!!!! (Which WILL happen anyhow).
The positive thing would be Government at all levels, from Federal to Municipal, would be MUCH SMALLER and affordable!!!!!!!!!!!
The cost may be a PUSH!!!!!!!!!

My left coast cousin asked me at a reunion, what I thought of Seattle's consideration of raising the minimum wage to $15 (years ago). I said: Why are you so cheap? If government can just declare a minimum wage why not make it $150 or $200 an hour? Or better yet, let's make it $an even $1000 per hour. Or, even better, $1000 per half hour!That shut him up for a while. (Stole the idea from Rush) It worked.
