Either that or Texas and what's left of America will fight the communists using only means they will listen to... force. There can only be one ideology in America. There is no room for both communist nation and constitutional republic. Even if USA were to split in two , each going their own way, the nature of the ideology of communism would mean they would try to expand. I am not convinced preservation of republic can happen via peaceful means and unless everyone is ready to roll over and accept communist rule, eventual conflict is inevitable. It would not be the first time neither for America or history, but bloodshed is something no would should want.

Well the little communist tyrants will try to push it as far as it goes. Until prisoners stage a riot and imprison the tyrants. There are no moral safe guards or logic on the side of these tyrants, they are just doing so because there is not enough resistance. Is the entire population all around the world really going to willingly imprison themselves forever by bureaucrats or will they boil over and imprison the bureaucrats? I guess will find out soon enough. Christmas is a good litmus test. And that is just few weeks away.

In Fools, Frauds and Firebrands (2015), Roger Scruton reminds us that “intellectuals are naturally attracted by the idea of a planned society in the belief they will be in charge of it” (p. 12), and this is one reason why they most often start with the area over which they have the most control: language.

Another reason is because reality has a stubborn habit of not cooperating with their utopian visions: thoughts are easier to control than economies or the revealed preferences of individuals.

@Krunoslav these quotes have me thinking of the corrections I have to make with my daughter and grandson everyday because of the school and media indoctrination. Besides the a blatant lack of teaching in such subjects as geography, history, government, math, and language arts, and a watering down of classic literature, the millenials are so unequipped to see what is right in front of them. When history is rewritten, or outright denied, and vast amounts of knowledge are withheld, then reason becomes sabotaged. Couple this with a lack in traditional values, an environment where you get anything you want in an instant, and media injecting you with "morals", standards, and believes that alter your perception of the world then, you get the cluster fck that is seen today. But its changing the meaning of words that is the most insidious.
