It is no coincidence that those of us who grew up under Soviet Communism have no use for socialism. They can see what is coming. What big tech is doing is very familiar to them. Are they afraid? Yes and with good reason. By the way this marriage between big tech and government is precisely what Fascism is all about.
The movie actor Edgar G. Robinson said it best. All of the types of human beings are inside of each of us waiting only for a chance to be put on display. This means that we cannot claim ignorance of the human condition. It is for us to measure each opportunity the best way that we can and to choose. It is the excesses of idealism, usually professed by the young and inexperienced, which seem to always agree with and support socialist ideas. This is because the young are more susceptible to emotionalism and because they are so very vulnerable.
The best way to fight is to enlist the aid of our seniors who have learned through hard experience, the boundaries of truth. But any fight is doomed to failure if it uses anger or dishonesty as a cornerstone.
