That's Melbourne!
I went there for a week in 2007... I have no desire to return!

I have a non woke relatives there. They are quite sad and angry where they whole places is going. Under lock downs they really saw what they are dealing with.
I was born and raised in Brisbane, so will ever consider myself a Queenslander. But I lived twenty years in Sydney and for the last fourteen years have resided in Melbourne. I can confirm, everything you've heard about this scrumbag leftie government is true. Last year, at the height of their hysterical lockdown when thousands of people marched in a shameful imitation the US BLM protests, this government did nothing while fining individuals for daring to open their businesses.
A measure of how bad the Victorian government is - is what happened only a few days ago - the conservative Federal government had to veto a deal this State Labor (Leftwing) premier had signed with China - to lock the whole state into the fucking Belt and Road Initiative. It's only my opinion - but he should not only be voted out but perhaps also charged with treason.
As a veteran myself, albeit a U.S. veteran rather than an Australian veteran, I definitely sympathize with them, and I definitely see it as a sign of disrespect as they do. In fact, we have seen something similar where I live. I am a part of the local VFW and American Legion Honor Guards, and we were allowed to hold a brief, outdoor service of remembrance on both Veterans Day and Memorial Day, but we could not advertise it to let people know we were doing it, so only a tiny group of people, who happened to be out in the streets to see us, were even aware. However, they had been fine with the BLM protest people advertising what they were doing and drawing a crowd to protest outside the local police station. It is the same double standard and the same disrespect. Very sad indeed.
Anyway, I salute my fellow veterans in Melbourne.

@Tom81 I would say Eastern Europe is more resilient than Western Europe and Scandinavia, which is completely lost. But I don't want to underestimate the activists etc. It is more resilient but not completely immune. The enemy uses many faces and disguises and tricks. And has many "spies".
