Which begs the question: why do so many otherwise non-radical people choose to publicly deny that this is what's going on and openly denounce and mock those who say otherwise? I mean, wouldn't you at least consider that there are enough parallels to warrant concern?

Honestly...I think they would rather see all of society collapse first, under the theory that "maybe it won't be so bad." That's how much we are today governed by tribalism.
