It would appear to me that this group despises parental authority, suggesting a lack of respect for authority in general. That is a curious point of view for civil government to encourage. If it is OK to defy parental authority, what other kinds of authority is it OK to defy. How about the government's? Or did no one think of that. Of course, a teenager and a middle-aged woman skipping hand-in-hand out of the door of a medical clinic does answer my question. Perhaps we need a public service announcement to explain how parents should go about having their under-aged teenagers declared legally of age. That would be fair and balanced, wouldn't it?

Hitler Youth, Mao’s Red Guard, All-Union Leninist Communist League of Youth, and I’m sure something similar exists in North Korea all have the same playbook, separate children from parents and program them to be virtuous by doing whatever the state / party says. Sound familiar? We did the same thing in the US with the Covid hotline to narc on neighbors that went outside.
