Are they delusional or lying. In the current political environment it's hard to tell the difference. It seems official reality has become whatever the politically correct want to believe. I have talked to a lot of highly intelligent liberals and they seem to be universally delusional. Being political correct should be officially a mental illness and is clearly some form of suicidal disposition.

The US does have substantial supplies of Natural Gas. That should make what is happening in Europe where electric rates are going up 600 percent less likely. However a look at the relative price of electricity in California compared to other states who haven't gone green doesn't paint a rosy picture.

It seems clear that the war in Ukraine was planned, or at the very least a crisis that was to be taken advantage. It's hard for me to believe that everyone in the policy making structures of the West are as stupid as they appear. Of course I worked with Federal Employees my whole career and they are not the brightest bulbs. While there are people I'm sure that are fully committed to the green agenda the leadership could not be. For example a lifetime influence peddler like Joe Bidden doesn't care about anything but himself. The same goes for Justin Trudeau and Macron. They are all man babies too rapped up in themselves to care or even comprehend what their responsibilities are. Putting the peasants back in their place seems to be their main objective. Many of the people making policy are the modern day version of Marie Antoinette. When will the peasants revolt?

Political correctness is a form of mental illness. At best it's a form of denial of reality, a self forced personal censorship. At worst, it's duplicitous, cynical, entitled narcissism.
The peasants won't revolt till denial of reality becomes more painful and hard to cope with than accepting it. And we're starting to see it now with the rejection of wokeness, particularly when it comes down to the welfare of our kids. Adults can bare a lot, but not to see the same inflicted on their offspring
