So much for academic open-mindedness; now replaced by fearful, ignorant prejudice. Good thing I am no longer an entrepreneur hiring engineers, as I would now have a strong bias against Berkeley. I encourage every business interested in a robust bottom line to satisfy themselves that a Berkeley candidate is not among those with such intellectual weakness.

@DinsdaleWalden In 1970 the Bayh-Dole Act allowed government funding of colleges and universities, but that wasn't without strings by those disbursing the funds - many of whom were Marxist sympathizers. The results are obvious today. And Alinsky's pamphlet was welcomed by many universities already primed for it.
it is in America's best interests, and the best interests of anyone interested in getting a useful education, to demand that your reps repeal the Bayh-Dole Act and let Universities die that are only thriving on government funds, because they have no academic strength otherwise.
