Report says Chinese police overseas behind 230,000 citizens returned to China
Project has Chinese police operating in 80 countries, including in Australia
State media says the stations provide services to citizens, such as renewing national identification cards, passports and drivers licences
But concerns it could target dissidents and ethnic minorities and their families

This might explain the scam calls I've received - in Mandarin - which mentioned the "Chinese Embassy" (in English) from an Australian mobile number - the CCP scammers are everywhere!
I don’t know if today’s CCP is technically Marxist, but certainly tyrannical, and less than sympathetic to the interests of our people.
@DaveO276 "Technically" Marxist??? It is a totalitarian regime murdering thousands of its own citizens and starving millions over non-compliance with COVID restrictions, among other things. I don't think any of the suffering and dead are the least bit interested in the strict academic definition of the CCP.
Marx's Communist Manifesto asserted that true Communism would not develop until socialism had been in place for 400 years. So what value is arguing against the existence of pure Marxism there?
