That is not the ideal setting for maintaining a perfect isolation of a pathogen. In addition, it has been established that the research was done in top flight isolation, but storage and handling was done only at first level isolation...far too casual for perfect isolation.
More importantly, why would an intentional release happen on their own soil, in the immediate neighborhood of the Wuhan Viral Institute? Chinese strategists are better than that, even in an authoritarian regime. They would release it in a highly populated area where their presence was not regarded as unusual, somewhere else in the World. New York City would be a logical choice. New Delhi maybe easier. Even if Xi wanted to use it as a tool for tighter control of the population, Beijing would be less suspicious.

First off, how do you know some much about chinese technicians? Why would they infect their own people?? Gee, why did they kill some many of their own people in the past? Because they have billions to spare!!!!!!!!!!!!
They did release it in highly populated areas!!!!!! Like the whole world!!!!!!!!!! You remember avian flu??? Remember where that came from??? That was a trial to see how a virus would travel around the world!!!!!!!!!!!

@GaryMysels I see two basic factions in the US. One with supports our Constitution, and one which wants to tear it down, and is comfortable using deceptive tactics - which some may call conspiracy.
Conspiracy is tough to prove in court because it requires proof of intent. That is the problem with alleging it as well.
But as an engineer paid to design sometimes complex devices which are very difficult to get to work properly, and aware that humans are even more difficult to drive as precisely as machines, I have noticed plenty of failed conspiracies in history without surprise.
Best example I can think of is the CIA believing by doctrine that it should be a presence anywhere the Soviets went, without invitation. The Soviets were also comfortable with deception and successfully portrayed the CIA as deceptive, and responsible for everything the Soviets had actually done that created problems. The Soviets had the help of Hollywood which happily portrayed the CIA as a very clever organization successfully orchestrating fantastic plots, which was persuasive enough to the locals. Conspiracy? Not really. Just the Soviets engaged in a Cold War with us, and taking advantage of some of our weaknesses.
Consider if the CIA had instead hung back and let the Soviets try to find some other fall guy. Probably would not have worked so well for the Soviets, and we might not be fighting Marxism quite so desperately in the US today.
IMO most things that actually happen are not conspiracy, just someone failing to do their job properly due to substance abuse, arguments with their spouse, lack of motivation to take it seriously....
