Like most video creators, Professor Peterson touches on not just one topic but several in this video.
Another thing Professor Peterson does, commonly I might add, is he touches on spiritual matters without it being apparent – then he’ll mix in material matters to make for quite a diverse video.
I’m not at all sure he realizes he’s diversifying his content, but that’s just as well – even better for that matter.
With this post I’d like to pluck out just a couple of such topics he (Professor Peterson) touches on in this video.
The most important of which is when he counsels you to give yourself a break. Considering that you’re most likely a human, this first topic takes on importance. Importance in that just who do you think you are to devalue the blood of Christ? Who are you to think that your sin is so bad that even the sacrificial blood of GOD’s only begotten son can’t cover (atone for) it? A cock doesn’t need to crow three times for your forgiveness does it? “SO GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK ALREADY!”
Next there’s the admonition to “love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Which works out to ‘love of self’ = ‘love of neighbor’, or put the other way, ‘love of neighbor’ = ‘love of self.’ Or, how do you expect to ‘love your neighbor’ if you don’t simultaneously ‘love yourself’? SO WHY CAN’T YOU JUST GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK ALREADY!
It really is presumptuous to think that there’s anything so bad that it prevent you from drawing next to GOD after HE allowed the sacrifice of HIS only begotten son explicitly to gift you that access to HIM.
PS. This video could be called a Peterson family fire side chat if they only had a fire place.
