The line in the video wondering why the Left doesn't worry about "cultural appropriation" when talking about trans-gender behavior and dressing, was worth seeing the whole thing. Indeed they don't. These are people who are likely to see the entire gender-identification process as "cultural." Here, they don't mean "We take a vote." They mean: "for this purpose you get to belong to whatever sexual culture you feel like." You get a free pass. It surely is appropriated culture, though!

(Suppose I felt like a native American. And went around in feathered headdress. I'll bet after awhile, somebody would get seriously annoyed (though not E. Warren supporters). They would say "Foul. You're NOT a Native American." Well, I FEEL like one. "But you don't have the DNA, so you're not REALLY one." Say WHAT? You don't really want to go to the DNA thing."

It gets worse than what is discussed on the video. It used to be that a man could feel that he was a woman, since he was attracted to men, but wasn't a "top" gay man, but a "bottom." He wanted men to do certain things with his body. Do I have to define the terms?

But now, we ask this bottom man if he is just a gay man, or if he feels actually like a woman. Some gay men do (see "Screaming Queens" one section of every gay pride parade), and others don't. The latter are the folks who look like Village People members, or even 1980 Freddy Mercury "gay clones" complete with short hair and mustache

(I'm told the two sides-- the Queens and Clones-- often don't like each other a lot, either, but this bit of conflict is hidden when confronting the straights.)

In any case, drag-queens in parades notwithstanding, MOST gay men don't in the least want to be, or dress, like a cis-woman. They feel like men. Who are attracted to men.

Okay, now let us suppose the man wants to be a trans-sexual woman. Fine. But now comes the question of whether "she" is gay or not, and what that means. Can you be a "lesbian" trans-woman? Big argument. For some time, standard feminists (at first) didn't feel that trans-women could be gynophilic. They had to be attracted to men, else's what's the point in being a transwoman? They thought it was impossible. They were transwoman-gynophile-ophobic (and wouldn't let them into their tribal councils). ;'p

What we are talking about here, is a (former) man who realizes he feels like a woman, and more than that-- a woman who is attracted to females. A lesbian. It is at this point that the old joke about feeling like a lesbian trapped in a man's body becomes rather poignant. There exist gynophilic transgender women (transwomen) who are pre-surgery, who are in just this position. It's very hard to tell them from standard common cis-men. They give cis-female feminists the creeps, especially cis-female lesbian feminists. Whether the butch/top cis-female lesbians or the bottom cis-female lesbians are made to feel the most unsafe by trans-female-gynophiles, is a question this author cannot answer. Anybody?

Do trans-women cross-dress? Well, sometimes. It's actually hard to say, as we now have yet another intersection in the great Venn Diagram of gender-bending minorities.

Cross-dressers will be glad to correct you about being gay. Sometimes they are, and sometimes they aren't. A "drag queen" is (essentially) a man who dresses like a woman for a performance-- but what, for this purpose, is a "man"? "As a man thinketh, so is he," saith the culture warriors. Can a cross-dresser be a trans-man? Can it be a trans-woman? How about a cis-woman? How, in this case, do we even DEFINE the "cross" in cross-dressing?

If you are a former man who feels like a woman but dresses like the man you don't feel like, are you cross-dressing?

Cis-men can indeed dress like women (think Shakespeare and Tootsie). Gay or straight. Trans-women can do it, too.

And (wait for it) cis-women can be drag queens, too. Be they gay or straight. This became embarrassing when the winners of several drag queen contests turned out to have no penises, and never had one. Now what? Well we have a name for this: These are "Faux Queens." And known by other names, also. It's an entire defined genre. I could not make this up, but Wikipedia has a whole article on it. Read and be educated.

Personally, I suspect that Marilyn "Happy Birthday Mr. President" Monroe was doing a pretty good "Faux Queen" act for that performance. That is, if I have the vamp idea right.

Yep. Always said that transgenderism and constructivism are incompatible. The idea that we could be a social construct in every point is just BS.
