Also because IDW community does NOT make a practice of censoring commentary (especially commentary that reflects a more "conservative" world view) then IDW is "Trumpian in its identity" - is that right - is that your interpretation of just what IDW is?

I don’t know that it’s Trumpian. The culture war is taking its toll. Especially here in America. I voted Trump in 16. Will again in 20. I’ve got no choice. The progressives have taken over the left. We can debate tax % and health care access. But I refuse to debate which bathroom a man( presenting as a man) should use or whether I worked for my success or got from white privilege.
Trump is a buffoon. A reality tv “ billionaire “ but at least I don’t feel like he hates me because of my skin or wants to shame me for my faith. Or confiscate my money in the name of “fairness”
But I’ve run into plenty here that adamantly disagree.
Personally, I wish Ron Paul would run again.

I tried two other alternatives to FB before landing here. Their problem was they were right-wing echo chambers. That's not a discussion. There are real discussions at IDW. There are dissenting ideas.
People not wanting a relentlessly leftist online culture will always tend to fall on the right side of the bell curve. But not exclusively. I think that represents the population at IDW.
As for "Trumpian," well, that's something we conservatives have been wrestling with since 2015. I can say the rest of the online culture's absolute loathing of him led me to the IDW (where we can actually discuss him).

I don't think IDW is Trumpian by any stretch, though I'll grant it's fairly non-ANTI-Trumpian.
I see so many directions of thinking, a lot of exploratory ideas, ideas utterly unrelated to Trump/Never-Trump. There is a genuine effort all over IDW to talk about topics so broad and wide ranging, almost like "PLEASE, can we talk about something we can TALK about instead of just fretting over the latest tweet from OrangeManBad?"
