Our media is utterly corrupt. Our political system is completely dishonest. Our leaders are fools and liars. We have been sold out and bankrupted. The powerful in DC are not our representatives they are our oppressors.
They have forgotten their place and their duty. Truth means nothing to any of them. The press and the politician are both the enemy of the people. The mass hysteria surrounding Trump has grown into insanity. And has shown us that the whole system has failed.
Trump is often a boor and a buffoon but he has betrayed no oath of office. No evidence of crimes have been brought forth. Accusations and conspiracies and a ever changing narrative. Yet our Republic stands on the brink. I don't even know how this is possible. I truly do not. I thought we were stronger. Dangerous times ahead I fear. Prepare yourselves.

He violates campaign finance laws at minimum. That's what Cohen was convicted of doing at his behest and it seems to be what he was about to order Giuliani to do in Ukraine. But he seems to be immune from any penalties unless Congress chooses to impeach.

Cohen wasn't convicted; he plead guilty to a behavior that has never been demonstrated in court to even be a violation of law.

@govols Actually, it does. Cohen admitted before a criminal court that what he did was criminal. A judge or jury is not needed to say it was criminal, when the guy who did it said "yes, I violated the law ". This is why murderers who pled guilty have been executed or given life in prison. Because Cohen admitted before the court that he did the crime and the prosecution was correct and admitted he violated the law. The bad guy said he was bad. Granted, this says nothing about Trump's criminal liability.
An early step in a criminal trial is a motion to dismiss the case on grounds that the prosecutors really have no case of law. No finding of fact was ever made by a judge or a jury that a hush payments NOT FROM CAMPAIGN FUNDS is a violation of campaign law, nor that the money Cohen distributed came either from campaign funds, of from money that would otherwise have been contributed to the campaign.
I've found no citation anywhere that similar previos behavior has been demonstrated through rulings or verdicts to violate campaign finance law.
