Why has the resistance to President Trump reached such apocalyptic proportions? Actually, it reached that level the day he announced: all knobs dialed up to eleven.
Is it really that he’s a crude bull in a china shop with no sense of political decorum? Probably some of the eunuchs on MSNBC and CNN really think so.
Is it because he’s supposed to be a racist through and through? Probably fewer truly believe that of him but know it’s a handy-dandy political lever to pull.
Is it because he wants to close the border and talks about “America First?” Now you’re getting closer to the bone, though for none of the reasons our American Socialist Party babbles about daily. Compassion has nothing to do with it; Emma Lazarus’s poem even less.
As our current socialist sage, the lovely Ms. Omar, put it in a quite different context, “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.” This will be his legacy, and it’s why the forces aligned against him are both vicious and seemingly universal. And increasingly desperate.

facing such adversity will only make his terms go down historically as a grand success for the right. i believe democrats will be feeling the fallout not only from their radical shift even further left, but their stance regarding impeachment, very similar to kavanaugh

I agree. We could afford this one way generosity in 1945, when the US constituted two thirds of world economic output. We cannot afford it any more. It's been unaffordable for a generation.
