I like where this gal comes from, and her being from Russia originally gives her words against Socialism additional weight (she has a really good video talking about that). She's a musician, conservative, and transgender--yes, there are trans people who are conservative out there and Cat proves it. She is articulate and intelligent, and I think she makes points worth listening to.

Political beliefs notwithstanding, this person is male - period. I harbor no ill will toward him. I wish him great success and happiness - I do not judge him on moral or religious grounds. I don't judge him at all. What I feel for him is sympathy.
Whoever or however the moniker "gay" was invented for describing homosexual men and women could not be more inaccurate. Homosexuals are profoundly unhappy people.
I do not and would not advocate trying to "convert" them - I regard them and treat them as I would any other person, with respect. They are unhappy already - it does not help them or anyone else to treat homosexuals badly.
Having said all that it also must be pointed out that to live a lie helps no one. To address this person in the feminine is an intrinsic albeit sanctioned lie. Pretending even with the best intentions helps no one.

@iThink I find it bizarre that you are so set on rejecting this social nicety. There are trans people who started hormones so young that they pass. Would you change the pronoun you use when you find out that they are trans? What about intersex people? Do you ask people about their chromosomes, historical hormone levels, and sex organs before deciding what pronoun to use? Do you just call it like you see it even though that would seem to go against the standard you mentioned here?
There is something to be said about the indignity of forcing sane people to state an abject lie as truth. Whose sense of self worth and self confidence is more important or less important than anyone elses.
One of the techniques used to psychologically break people down is to force them (usually with physical coercion / torture) to make public declarations or statements that are obvious falsehoods. Prisoners of war and political prisoners have often been subjected to this kind of treatment.
I will NOT state something I know to be utterly, factually false Nor will I be "shamed" or "guilted" into doing so.
Rather than to call them by a feminine or masculine pronoun (whichever the case may be) I can and would choose to simply speak of or to them using their legal name. If a male has legally changed his name to a traditionally female name then so be it...I will address him as such. But I will NOT call him she, her, auntie, mommy, sister etc.
If someone was started on hormone treatments that early in life then there is a very good case to made against the parents or guardians for bad and destructive parenting.
I refuse to become a partner to that kind of abuse - even if it is years after the fact. To address that poor soul in the incorrect pronoun is to tacitly approve the mistreatment he received as a very young child.
No thank you - I will not be gas-lighted. I will hold onto my objectivity and my own sanity.
Contrary to popular believe, many “conservatives” are not against transgender people.
We believe people should have the right to believe what you want and do as you please as long as you do not hurt others or yourself.
It is when you decide your rights are more important than mine or your belief is more valid than my belief (or in my case non-belief), that’s when the problems start.
