@MarieBabik Admitted early millennial here. I have many light show memories, but they are all from boomer parents during my suburban childhood, not from my present-day peers.

@WilyRickWiles No, you need so many dollars in student loans to pay your leftist professors their salary and the corruption that has happened to the universities since the introduction of the Pell grant system. Combined with the Stafford loan system has allowed universities to increase their fee's over 1000% above inflation over the last 40 years.

Combined with the indoctrination that you "must" have a degree to have a better life and you have a ready made group of idiots lining up for degree's that they have no idea what to do with them nor really want to be at college any way (Except to party).

Let's see, not a "Boomer" though you most likely really don't know who those folks are as they dying off pretty fast these days (Though not as fast as those that come after them).

Consumption of resources? Let's see M and Z's are more likely to have the current "smart" phone, computer, tablet, TV, and spend more on electronic gadgets then any generation before them. They also use more in the way of toxic materials then the generations before them (Lithium Ion batteries are very toxic to mine and to dispose of). Are more likely to be on more than one form of mood/mind altering drug then the generations before them. I can keep going down the list. It is not a pretty one.

You want the cost of education to come down? Stop having the public pay for it. You want your money and labor to have value? Get rid of minimum wage. You want society to be more caring and responsive to those in need? Get rid of government welfare. Before LBJ and FDR there were community hospitals that had grant programs for doctors training. Not only did it make sure their were enough doctor's in communities it also kept the cost of care down. Then the federal government got involved with the backing of big business. You have the modern system due to business trying to offer better employment packages while not violating illegal federal laws on how much a person could get paid.

You really need to study history and not the sugar coated crap that universities give you in class. go the the section of books that is in the history section and has the dust one them, or that your professors say are poorly written or have material flaws. Your teachers have agendas, which is why a good student always seeks to learn what the teacher can teach and why the teach holds that position. That way you can discern whether it is of value.

Hello. Vegas-style Christmas light shows... compared to America, they're rather timid in the UK.
I have two minds about it. Is it alright to allow ourselves to go a little over the top because Christmas is a very special time of the year? And to compensate that, we could conserve energy on a more regular basis, e.g., regulating the hours offices and stores are lit up (many empty offices and stores are lit up all night, every night).

@MarieBabik Oh, and you seem to have a mistaken meaning of "zoomers." "Zoomers" refers to generation Z, which comes after the millennials. That is, they are not the parents of millennials, but they might be their children.
