I have witnessed the divisive nature of this type of thinking. These programs were the result of reactions to the actions of small groups people in limited areas. The result of these actions was to cause devises even where there had been non before, and every program that has come alone has only made things worse.

I was wondering, now that you can choose your race... will this be the end of affirmative action?
Could a white boy sue an employer if he does not get an AA job when he tells them he identifies as a black?
Affirmative action had one goal - get and keep votes for democrats. And they’ve pretty much succeeded. There is a new “plantation” in every major inner city. The now voluntary “slaves” are kept in place with the big three: welfare, food stamps, and subsidized housing. It’s no coincidence that the twenty largest cities in the US are Democrat...who would you vote for - someone who gives you everything? Or someone who wants you to get a job?
