I cannot comprehend how anyone today can justify hatred of another ethnicity. Isn't the civil war and the holocaust enough to make people know how evil and detrimental "racism" is? Maybe it's because schools no longer teach the Golden Rule?

Watch the PragerU video below:
[prageru.com]

Note: To clarify, I'm not talking about race baiters' claims of everything being racist. I'm mostly referring to surprising anti-semitism I've seen from a few here on IDW.

Well, pick a Western cultural or social issue that you consider to be important. Examine it for any deficiencies that you can identify as such might be measured from a traditionalist perspective. Dig into the origins until you find where things began to "come apart," or, in other words, where things began to upend social norms and expectations.

Jew are well known to be statistically over-represented in an array of culturally influential professions from legal theory to academia to entertainment, marketing, and general merchandising. Everywhere you find disruptions you're almost statistically guaranteed to find some highly placed and well regarded Jews among the avant garde. It takes no effort at all to expose oneself to an abundant body of literature through which to explore the various efforts to establish and explore the "Jewish Question."

I've read stuff about medieval interbreeding for purposes of elevating status, all sorts of stuff. Add to that the very real cultural "Othering" that Jews often practice🍸 upon the cultures into which they "infiltrated," their tribal tendencies--real or imagined--and you get some shit that is easily looked at through a conspiratorial lens if one is inclined toward such perspectives. It can readily be discovered as self-evident if one ever comes to "see" it. I mean, hell, the notion goes all the way back to their (and for many of us, our) historical religious texts. A Jew sold into Egypt as a SLAVE and he winds up second only to Pharaoh...and it power and influence maybe even above Pharaoh.

It's just a really easy leap to make if it's a path one stumbles on.

How can such a small population dominate so many aspects of society? I suppose when one is inclined to search hard enough they find self-fulfilling prophecies. Do you have valid statistics to support your assertions

@Facci I said not a thing about domination, nor implied such a claim. I was intending only that if one enjoys or is inclined toward rabbit holes, that one is pretty damned vastly documented. I have no judgement on merit to add.

Hello. A conspiratorial lens and, a political lens. I would rather see the world without wearing those lenses

@Naomi, there's always a lens, but you can often choose the frames.

I don’t know anyone who hates anyone.
Media promotes division, for profit.
Politicians promote racism, for votes.
Governments promote racism for power.

David42 Level 7 Dec 16, 2019

Hello. Do you find it hard to navigate your thoughts through the clouds of propaganda? I do, unfortunately...

@Naomi
It has become easier and easier actually. If it comes from a Democrat or mainstream media, I don't even consider the possibilty of it being legitmate. And if it is hateful (or anti-Trump), it's clearly leftwing propaganda. I don't think Trump is perfect by any means. But I'll believe him over them every time because they have cried "Wolf" and "the sky is falling" tooooooo many times to have any credibility left at all.

@Clarken I'm under the impression that American society is very polarised over politics. I live in the UK and I have left-wing friends as well as right-wing friends. I don't always share their views but we agree that there is far more to life than politics. Is it harder for you people in America to separate politics from friendship? Or maybe it's not that bad in real life; it's only on social media like this site. I've never lived in America, so I don't know...

@Naomi
Yeah, I've never understood Canadian or UK politics either - and don't really try. Our own politics are more than enough to stay up on.

But I've really appreciated your Nigel Farage and his support for conservatives (especially Trump) in America. The whole Trump movement in America has been seen as a parallel to the BREXIT movement in the UK. We're tired of a government that doesn't represent our interests the same as England is.

As to how personal politics have become over here: most people are smart enough to control their tongues during polite get-togethers. But there's a significant percentage of family and friends who will write each other off because politics have become so polorizing and HATE filled. Those with coolness are generally conservatives (as the name states) and/or Republican. Those that cannot control themselves are normally assumed to be left wing (democrats/liberals/progressives/socialists). AntiFa is not Anti-Fascist. They are actually fascists who have redefined what a fascist is (i.e. anyone who supports Trump). The examples go on and on because of Political Correctness redefining what was good to now be seen as evil and what was seen as evil to now be accepted as good.

Don't you just hate that?

@Naomi Americans have always been open minded and tolerant of our differences until the first Obama. Election.
It was like mass hypnosis. Suddenly media was anti America.
If it was traditional, Christian, white or in any way authority, it was hated.
Islam was in, Suddenly LGBTQ was everywhere. Everyone was a racist.
Media stopped any pretense of fairness, they were united on the extreme left. Black lives matter and Antifa and George Soros, riots, abc news must have related the phrase “ unarmed black teenager hundreds of thousands of times

@David42
well stated

MarieBabik when you have to resort to crude unnecessary cursing to try to make a point you've already shown you don't have an intelligent statement to add to any conversation. Your language is proof of what your I.Q. is.

Dmwils Level 7 Dec 16, 2019

It is an unfortunate side effect - whenever conservatives discuss things, the extreme always comes along and take over with blatant hatred.
MarieBabik and Jenna are two women here I do not react with because of their extreme racist views.

It also happens when liberals try to to discuss things... extremist communists pop up and ditto when scientist try to discuss the environment... radical haters and loonies always appear.

@Hanno Jenna is an ethnic minority in her native country trying to survive ethnic cleansing. To label her a racist is ignorant and racist in itself. Jenna posts factual events that are being perpetrated by her tyrannical government. She may be the only member of this site suffering under institutional tyranny and fighting for the existential survival of her culture and her race. Your ignorance doesn't make her a racist if her tyrants are not color coded to your racist expectations.

@Facci Hi Facci.
Jenna and I are from the same tribe and speak the same language. I lived in our country for 35 years and was physically attacked with knives myself before leaving.
I agree with 90% of what Jenna says.

However, you missed her extreme racist rant where she insulted black people who did her no harm in the worst possible way. She is part of the problem in South Africa.

I am most definitely not ignorant about Jenna, or what is happening in my mother country.
L

@Hanno I've followed @Jenna from the earliest days of this community and if I missed her racist rant then it did not happen. There is much hate spewed here. Address what you must directly, don't smear someone who is not apart of this discussion.

@Facci Granted, I should not have mentioned Jenna. Apologies to both Jenna and everyone else.

The post was about Vicky Momberg being sent to prison for verbally abusing blacks.
Jenna defended Vicky... and then repeated the same attack again. This is very offensive to white South Africans such as myself due to our past.
I think I am still upset about it.

@Hanno
You don't have to feel guilted into apologizing for calling someone out by name. It helps others be on their guard and even holds the individual themselves (and others) accountable. If she says good things, she deserves credit. If otherwise, it should not be overlooked or excused just because her life experience was/is horrible.

A rape victim who hates all men shouldn't be excused for rants against all men as if they're all rapists. She needs to properly analyze what has happened to her and put blame where blame is due. Affirming her wrong views does not help her live in reality - it sends her deeper into the abyss of crisis created psychosis or PTSD or whatever you want to call it. The same would go for affirming the LGBTQ delusion.

At least thats my view - take it for what it's worth. But I appreciate what you've had to say - very much so.

@MaskedRiderChris I have apologised. And Jenna comment has been removed.
If you search “Vicky” you will see the original post, however Jenna’s response to my comment has been removed either by Jenna or a moderator.

@DMwils
Is it just me or has our friend MarieBabik disappeared. Did she delete her account? Or what? I guess she couldn't handle the civility?

@Hanno
Unless I'm mistaken, MarieBabik packed it in and left the IDW. At least I can't find her myself - maybe I'm blocked. I don't think the IDW would kick anyone off.

When people are crying racism all the time it starts to lose it's potency. Right now is actually the best time to be a racist because at some point or another, everyone has been considered racist.

I agree. That's why I put racism in quotation marks. I personally believe there is only one race, the human race.

I only used it because that is what people call it today. Specifically, I was referring to the antisemitism I've been seeing from the posts and comments of a few here. They are obviously hateful toward anyone who is Jewish or even toward those who back Israel. Their rational is leftwing spin which only encourages ignorant antisemitism.

@Clarken there are quite a few anti whatevers on IDW. Just don't let the bad apples spoil the bunch.

Hello. Is it just Jewish people you're feeling sorry for?

Naomi Level 8 Dec 16, 2019

No. I don't feel sorry for Jews. I admire them. I feel sorry for those who hate them.

@Clarken Does that mean that you feel sorry for those who hate Muslims, black people, the Chinese, the Russians, immigrants, etc., as well as Jews?

@Clarken If you feel sorry for those who hate other groups of people for whatever the reason, then, I would say you're a nice person.

@Naomi
Yes, I feel sorry for people that hate other people. But my post was made because I'm seeing it directed at Jews, not any of those other groups you mentioned.

It's reasonable to disagree with a person's ideology. It becomes irrational when that developes into hatred such as with those who continually hate on Jews & "Zionists" - which seems to be the in-thing that's now politically correct thanks to Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and others.

I'm sorry for not being real clear in the post. I was trying not to directly insult anyone. But as you can see from the comments, the antisemites don't mind insulting and even assaulting those they disagree with.

@MarieBabik I wanna know what you're on right now. 😂 Anyway, thanks. X

@MarieBabik I share your impression of Naomi
I’m following because she is insightful and organized and has good command of our mother tongue

@David42 What's going on here??? I'm just a representative of ignorance. Literally! 🤣
You seem to be able to accommodate different views from your own. Open-mindedness is important to me.

@Naomi we learn when we listen, especially when we grasp a straw hitherto unfathomed.
I’m looking for solutions to chronic problems. SeekIng the truth, Buried under fathoms of BS.
I’ve concluded that the media has rendered our present corrupt government persona non gratis. Committed to find a better way. Power And money corrupt the human animal, so limits must be placed on how long they get to represent us.
Truth and honesty are still relevant. Freedom of speech must include being able to speak candidly about taboo subjects.
Especially race.

"I cannot comprehend how anyone today can justify hatred..."

I think that there are obvious reasons for hatred, as to justice there are many false versions propagated by those who make a living out of convincing Group A to hate Group B, and even Group C.

Thomas Jefferson, A Summary View of the Rights of British America, August 1745
"For the most trifling reasons, and sometimes for no conceivable reason at all, his majesty has rejected laws of the most salutary tendency. The abolition of domestic slavery is the great object of desire in those colonies, where it was unhappily introduced in their infant state. But previous to the enfranchisement of the slaves we have, it is necessary to exclude all further importations from Africa; yet our repeated attempts to effect this by prohibitions, and by imposing duties which might amount to a prohibition, have been hitherto defeated by his majesty’s negative: Thus preferring the immediate advantages of a few African corsairs to the lasting interests of the American states, and to the rights of human nature, deeply wounded by this infamous practice. Nay, the single interposition of an interested individual against a law was scarcely ever known to fail of success, though in the opposite scale were placed the interests of a whole country. That this is so shameful an abuse of a power trusted with his majesty for other purposes, as if not reformed, would call for some legal restrictions. . . "

Notes on the State of Virginia
by Thomas Jefferson, 1781
"To emancipate all slaves born after passing the act. The bill reported by the revisors does not itself contain this proposition; but an amendment containing it was prepared, to be offered to the legislature whenever the bill should be taken up, and further directing, that they should continue with their parents to a certain age, then be brought up, at the public expence, to tillage, arts or sciences, according to their geniusses, till the females should be eighteen, and the males twenty-one years of age, when they should be colonized to such place as the circumstances of the time should render most proper, sending them out with arms, implements of houshold and of the handicraft arts, feeds, pairs of the useful domestic animals, &c. to declare them a free and independant people, and extend to them our alliance and protection, till they shall have acquired strength; and to send vessels at the same time to other parts of the world for an equal number of white inhabitants; to induce whom to migrate hither, proper encouragements were to be proposed. It will probably be asked, Why not retain and incorporate the blacks into the state, and thus save the expence of supplying, by importation of white settlers, the vacancies they will leave? Deep rooted prejudices entertained by the whites; ten thousand recollections, by the blacks, of the injuries they have sustained; new provocations; the real distinctions which nature has made; and many other circumstances, will divide us into parties, and produce convulsions which will probably never end but in the extermination of the one or the other race."

Thomas Jefferson
Declaration of Independence (before censorship) 1776
"he has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating it's most sacred rights of life & liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere, or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. this piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the CHRISTIAN king of Great Britain. determined to keep open a market where MEN should be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or to restrain this execrable commerce: and that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us, and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them, & murdering the people upon whom he also obtruded them; thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people, with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of another."

In the Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Vol. I. p. 10
Explaining the "reason" for censorship of the Declaration of Independence:
"The clause, too, reprobating the enslaving the inhabitants of Africa, was struck out in complaisance to South Carolina and Georgia, who had never attempted to restrain the importation of slaves, and who, on the contrary, still wished to continue it. Our northern brethren also, I believe felt a little tender under those censures; for, though their people had very few slaves themselves, yet they had been pretty considerable carriers of them to others."

June 17, 1788
George Mason against institutionalized, "legalized," subsidized racism :
"Mr. Chairman, this is a fatal section, which has created more dangers than any other. The first clause allows the importation of slaves for twenty years. Under the royal government, this evil was looked upon as a great oppression, and many attempts were made to prevent it; but the interest of the African merchants prevented its prohibition. No sooner did the revolution take place, than it was thought of. It was one of the great causes of our separation from Great Britain. Its exclusion has been a principal object of this state, and most of the states in the Union. The augmentation of slaves weakens the states; and such a trade is diabolical in itself, and disgraceful to mankind; yet, by this Constitution, it is continued for twenty years. As much as I value a union of all the states, I would not admit the Southern States into the Union unless they agree to the discontinuance of this disgraceful trade, because it would bring weakness, and not strength, to the Union."

The cause of hatred is easy to find, the criminals (who hate) took over in 1789, hatred has become a National Subsidized Business Cycle.

You have a point but accusations of ‘racism’ are now thrown about to the extent that it has lost its meaning. True out and out racism is unacceptable. Incidents of what is currently put down to racism are often nothing more than fundamentalists using the word in an attempt to intimidate or undermine people who disagree with them.

Yes, I see the race-baiters as racists themselves.

What I'm referring to is the fact that I've seen a number of otherwise intelligent people being out-and-out unapologically antisemetic right here on the IDW.

@Clarken "otherwise intelligent" ...
