I guess I could have made it clear for the liberals out there who like to interpret the words of those with whom they disagree in a way that will suit their own argument. Ad hominem attacks are the main defense of the willfully ignorant.

I’m sure the majority of people out there had no problem understanding how exemplifications similar to anthropomorphisms are used to exemplify characterizations to which one refers.

The Bible uses this technique regularly by explaining things God does as if he we’re human or behaving as a human. (Saying God regretted making humankind or God repented or God changed his mind even though we know God is all seeing, all knowing and present everywhere, because He exists outside of the bounds of time and space and all other physical laws).

We also see repeatedly in the Bible and other literature where people are referred to as sheep (in both positive and negative ways, like when God refers to His chosen people as the sheep of His pasture and when He talked about the good shepherd giving His life for His sheep and the rejoicing of angels when the one lost sheep is returned to the fold.). There are examples of people being compared (unfavorably) to insects as well. He tells the lazy person (sluggard) to become like an ant. Ever heard of the saying busy as a bee? If I were a liberal I guess I could just ask you why you are so prejudiced against insects. (Since I’m not a regressive liberal, I’ll just have to stick to the issue and not try to deflect).

So for those who are not simpleminded regressive liberals, please ignore this explanation that you would have understood intuitively, since you were not trying to employ the childish tactics of a spoiled brat with no desire to discuss a difficult topic in a way that could further understanding.

I'm not sure what you mean by culture and heritage but the history of conquest, colonisation and imperialism doesn't win many over.
