It's governors of states that going far beyond the guidelines fo the federal government some have already ask for help from the national guard.

I did not see anything about a commendation and a pay raise. The column does talk about Rhodes popularity in the State. Your comment implies that Rhodes was commended and compensated for the Kent State shootings. NOT TRUE . BTW, the mob that day had already become violent. Throwing rocks at riot police and burning down a building on campus. I believe it was a ROTC building in this case. @iThink They had every right to get violent. Their government was forcing 19 year olds into a war that would psychologically scar them for life. Hardly a "depraved mob" when nobody would listen. All people want to see the end of war - it's only the arms manufacturers who profit from them.
