Simultaneoulsy, the fight is strengthening the cause for Partition which can grow until a catalytic event triggers it. Had we gone that route instead of the hitler salutes, clubs, shields and body armor, that catalytic event may have just happened.
Alas, we just threw 4 years away - 4 years we didn't have.
