I have heard it theorized that VP Pence will be conspicuously absent on Jan 6 and that someone else will be standing in for him.
I have also heard that DC authorities are already making plans to curtail Trump's rally. At least one hotel has decided that it will be closed for business for the duration of the event and I have to imagine more will follow.
