In the French revolution after they had no more food in the cities they came to take it from the rural farmers. Those who refused or rebelled were massacred. During soviet revolution in Russia they did something similar. Collectivization of farmers. If these riots follow the next logical step and become revolution in America, than historically there is "reign of terror", and eventual dictatorship. Once the cities fall, the farmers are next. I guess Americans better fight now while they still can. There is a civil war in America that just lacks official title.

I left the city that I had lived in for 40+ years a few years ago. Not because of the threat of violence, exactly. But because I was disgusted at how leftist it had gone.

As much as I lived and worked in NYC (Manhattan-Brooklyn-Queens) for over 30 years ... and thoroughly enjoyed it ... I was a Cynical Conservative in an Ocean of Flaming Left Liberals. It was ... almost fun ... to observe their Fascinating, Frustrating and Disgusting Antics and Thought Processes.

I grew up in the boondocks of the Northeast and have returned to them.
People will have to go a long way out of their way to approach my relatively unappealing piece of property, will definitely be trespassing by the time they get into shotgun range, and if I feel threatened by their presence, will not live to get into shotgun range.
Handguns are all well and good but indicate having allowed a threat to get too close when rifles are readily available.

In one sense, these two are reaping what they've sown. From what I've heard, they are Democrats themselves and have generally been on the left side of issues. They would probably support the district attorney engaging in this kind of prosecutorial abuse against regular citizens. I won't be surprised if they end up making a deal where they are protected but sell out the rights of regular citizens to protect themselves.

Regardless of the motives or anything else behind the behavior of this couple, the district attorney needs to be impeached and prosecuted for attacking citizens' rights to protect themselves. We need to make very clear to anyone remaining in government that we will not tolerate taking the side of the thugs. The moment someone threatens another person's life or home, that person's life doesn't matter. The world would be a better place if these protesters didn't exist.
