Sydney, thank you for introducing me to this site of free thinkers. When you described what it was, my first thought was "I wonder how long before it gets labeled as a hate speech site." The truth is, I came because I too am tired. I have no outlet to discuss what I feel or think because I know the people in my social groups would ostracize me. I have people on either side and I want to hear their opinions but I know they don't want to hear opinions of people on the other side. I hope this site doesn't become an echo chamber, though. I hope that powerful conversation and discussion happens here. I feel like that's what we need most as a species.

My family and co-workers would disown me if I were to speak my mind on the subjects that echo around the news and intraweb every single night. I'm all for having an in depth, civil, even passionate CONVERSATION about anything, but A) most things that are being spewed by the media and culture these days are assinie. And B) they won't even let you get a single word in edge-wise to counter argument. So I too found myself gravitating to the IDW after hearing a namedrop on a certain podcast I listen too. I hope I'm able to find the answers I seek, as well as the reassurance that I'm not alone in my stance on everything going on in the world.

Conversation is so incredibly important but too many people are afraid to have it. I agree with a lot of what you said. I only have one question, I'm not familiar with the acronym "IDW", could you explain to me what that is?
Sydney is great. I love this place tbh. I wait on the non-conservative social networks to what they are raging on . Then I show up here for the real stuff.
