Where I live near Vancouver, Canada, I have other languages on all sides. They CAN speak some English but prefer their own language, prefer their family. I am A FOREIGNER to them. Polite of course, but almost no words and no conversation at all. One side is owned by a Sikh who loads up, OVERRENTS, but has an in with officials, so they ignore. Friday nights are the red light district showing open for business around 2 am. The owner gets a huge rent there. In nearby areas are nice townhouses but nobody interacts at all. And, I didn't find it friendly years ago either with more Caucasians. So, it's worse, but headed that way anyway.
