Growing up in Belfast I was surrounded on a daily basis with tribes. Catholic, Protestant, UVF, UDA, LVF, IRA. Everyone has a tribe to identify with. It didn't help families, local communities, towns, cities or the country as a whole. I'm watching identity politics now destroying communities globally. It's sad.
