@Hanno I am just asking where from the definition of "normal" is based. Govols seemed to use it in a way to call LGBTQ people abnormal, and so I am trying to find out what normal is. Again, if the argument is what is most common in nature, then a lot of what humans do isn't normal. Are there benefits towards marriage in society and mating for life? Sure. But is it normal? What exactly is a "normal" person though? If you are basing that on what is most seen in nature, then marriage isn't normal, and the most normal thing for people to do is be polyamorous. This is really a bunch of people having an overreaction to an extremely small subset of a minority group. The overwhelming majority of people in the LGBTQ community do not care about your sexuality. No one is trying to "erase lesbians" or force people to sleep with people they don't want to. The small group that does have this mentality are basically the "incels" of the LGBTQ community, who think they are owed sex from whoever they want, regardless of personal preferences or attraction or free will. You don't see other groups doing this in reaction, like "super feminist" or "super sexual" to combat incels.

@ThomasinaPaine you must have missed where I pointed out public schools can have dress codes and uniforms as well. In Philadelphia, the public school system requires uniforms. You cannot "choose" to go to a different school unless you move to a new district / city, which isn't a viable option for most families. Parents have actually been jailed for enrolling their kids in different schools, so no, they cannot choose this. Students also face disciplinary action for failing to meet these dress codes, and yes there have been fines and arrests for going against them. It can most certainly cause issues with economic classism, as parents who cannot afford all of the clothing requirements will face issues the wealthy parents will not. Guess what, if you don't want to wear a mask, you can choose not to go into a private establishment that is enforcing masks, just as you can choose not to go into a place with a "no shirt no shoes no service" restriction if you do not want to put on a shirt or shoes. Yet many people decide they want to go in so they can whine and complain about civil rights and bully the staff. At that point, when asked to leave and refusing, it is considered criminal trespassing, and that is why you can be arrested. Do masks provide a false sense of security? Well, only if you are wearing them wrong. Masks work when worn properly, it is proven.

@Alysandir so I know the meme says "private school" but public schools also have dress codes as well. Just look at the link I posted above concerning North Paulding High School, a public school. And even if they don't have uniforms, they can still have draconian dress codes where teachers can punish students and force them to undergo mandatory checks with rulers. So in those cases, they don't choose it, it is forced upon them. And back to my comments regarding people crying about private establishments having mask rules, they can choose to go elsewhere.

What I was arguing is that one was clearly an armed insurrection and could be argued as treason (Captiol riots), while one could not in any way (BLM riots). Both could be considered domestic terrorism if spinned a certain way, though one was in the name of a specific leader (Trump) while the other was for a basic political philosophy (anti-fascism).

It's sad that the gospel of hate and division is now the primary religion of the US armed forces. This cannot end well for America or the world.

It's been that way for decades. Christian theocracy has seeped into the military, to the point where you are punished with chores if you don't attend their church services, and other religions aren't given equal accommodation.

The coup failed. The Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, but the security was able to evacuate properly, and then most of the insurrectionists were more preoccupied with selfies and social media cred. Trump tried to extort votes, it didn't work. The coup is over, Biden is the president now.

@2peros I read the article. It tries to paint Trump losing as a coup. I am saying that isn't the case. The actually coup, or attempted coup, was Trump trying to overthrow democracy and steal the election. And it failed, since Biden is currently the duly elected president.
