Forcing Taxpayers to Fund Abortions?
JacksonNought comments on Dec 15, 2020:
Don't see why you care. You don't live in the US, your money isn't funding anything here. However, for those of us who do live in the US, we cannot choose how our taxes are spent. @Krunoslav are you off your meds? Do you even think about what you are saying before you write it down? Let's start off by saying fetuses and embryos are not babies. They are clumps of cells. So right off the bat, this isn't "killing babies" - and don't even try to peddle that late-term, the baby is born and killed, bullshit that right-wing pundits like to lie about. One's body is inviolable, subject to one's own will alone. A dead person cannot have an organ donated to someone in need without express written consent - yet you want to control what a woman can do with her body? An alive women has less rights than a dead person? Second, how is this for profit or politics? And how does this have anything to do with religion, other than telling religions they cannot dictate the laws or control people. How is this threatening anybody's children? You realize pro-choice means CHOICE - no one is forcing people to have abortions. It is giving people the CHOICE to have one. At this point, you have proven yourself to be no more than a troll, trying to sow discord in the US.

@CelticRing but the Talmud is a very specific text only followed by specific sects of Judaism, so you cannot attribute it to all Jews. Just as you can't blame all Christians for what the Westboro Baptist Church does. The main point is there is not over-arching "Christian Morality", as every denomination will have its own interpretation, and plenty of people commit atrocities in the name of religion, including Christianity.

Yes both sides definitely have their biases, and you can see wildly different reporting on the different protests based on who you tune in to. However, I don't think you go far enough in your analysis of Fox / Right-Wing when it comes to MAGA or Lockdown protests. It can go beyond "just following orders" sentiments and can go into full-on calls of violence against police for carrying out the rule of law. In the case here, a man tried to run over police officers, and Fox had him on air touting him as some kind of hero. The race thing can most definitely play a part. Do you honestly think a black man in New York could get away with trying to run over cops? We've seen black men murdered for walking away this year.

I guess ultra-wealthy Conservative pundits, like Sean Hannity and Ben Shapiro, can't complain about attacks on Conservatives - since they are doing so well with no issues. I guess mega-church pastors with private jets like Joel Osteen and Kenneth Copeland can't call out Christian persecution, since they are doing so well. I guess Trump can't complain about attacks on Republicans, since he is currently president and Republicans lead the Senate. @torontogal4388 have you heard Trump's gaffes? If you want to play that game... And how you perceive the Mueller investigation is how we (non-Trump loyalists) perceive the current vote-fraud nonsense. Rudy is getting $20k a day to represent Trump... hmmm, nothing fishy there. Speaking of Rudy, he is Trump's *personal* lawyer, not actually employed by the White House or campaign... yet when he got COVID he was able to get the same VIP treatment and experimental cocktail that the President did... maybe on the taxpayer's dime as well... how is that a-okay? He also clearly said, while actually in court, that he wasn't saying it was fraud, and he didn't even know what opacity or strict scrutiny was. All the "fraud" lawsuits have been laughed out of court, so the current plan is to have Texas claim the 4 swing states had different election procedures than Texas, so it wasn't fair to Texas, and therefore the votes should all be thrown out and the legislatures (hmm, all GOP, imagine that) should get to just hand Trump the victory. Yeah, seems totally legit, not an attempt to steal the presidency and nullify the will of the people. Gullible is other people on this site (I won't name names) who think Biden is currently shaking in his boots and pleading with Trump to get a pardon if he concedes... any day now. He did not hide in his basement, that is just more nonsense spewed by Trump during his rallies. Instead, he actually took the pandemic seriously, and didn't encourage people (while already admitting to knowing the virus was deadly and airborne) to pack tightly in enclosed stadiums without masks. I guess Herman Cain should have attended a Biden rally instead.

I am definitely a patriot. I believe in our election, and the fact that Biden won. I am not one of those who puts Trump over our country, considering him a god-king. Where was this whole "shouldn't we want to investigate to make sure everything was above board" mentality when Mueller was investigating Russian collision, and Trump was blocking subpoenas, or during impeachment investigations where Trump blocked witnesses? Why don't we investigate every state and all county for fraud, not just the ones Biden won? Why is Trump only suing swing states that went for Biden, but which have Republican legislatures, trying to get them to throw out all votes and just hand Trump the election?

But if that is your line of thinking, the Republicans want to turn the country into a Christian theocracy, so I'd be even less welcome there. I guess I gotta go with the less of two evils, hm? How gullible can you be? Trump "donates" his salary so that he doesn't have to pay taxes on it. Just another in his many tactics to avoid taxes, which is why he only paid $750 when claiming to be a multi-billionaire. We do know that he owes $400 million to *someone* - not the US - and now he is getting people to donate money to his "defense fund" which is just lining his pockets. We also know he and his family are banned from running charities in NY now, due to defrauding them. He is also a textbook narcissist, and will praise anyone who is nice to him (like brutal dictators Putin and Jong-Un) and attack anyone critical of him (like his own DHS, FBI, cabinet, etc). Trump is the only one who can take harassment? Is that a joke? He is the most thin-skinned whiny bitch baby we've ever seen. He continuously attacks people publicly - calls them ugly, fat, stupid, makes up derogatory and racist nicknames for people, you name it. But then someone turns around and points out he is overweight or mispronounces and slurs words constantly or paints his face like a clown or is even remotely critical of him, he cries and runs to his bunker and tweets in all caps about how poor and unfortunate he is. People like you constantly complain about the "victim mentality" of the Left, when Trump is the poster child for it. You ever notice how Obama makes a speech and sounds like an intelligent human being you'd entrust with leading the free world? And Trump makes a speech like your drunk senile uncle, complaining about showers and toilets and going off on tangents about windmill cancer and getting racist?

California is one of those states, which went blue in 2016. My state, PA, does not allow either, and went red in 2016. Perhaps CA should sue PA for not allowing the same voting laws, therefore potentially suppressing and disenfranchising votes which could have led to the state going blue in 2016. That fits your standard of affecting other states. Maybe we should do that to overturn the results of 2016 - undo all executive orders, bills, and SCOTUS appointments during the Trump administration - and redo the 2016 election first?

JacksonNought replies on Dec 12, 2020:
I'd say there is a difference between calling for investigations into Russian interference vs what the GOP is doing now. Russian interference wasn't a "hoax" - all of our intelligence agencies confirmed they tried to interfere, through various disinformation campaigns. Several of Trump's cronies plead guilty, lying to Congress about meetings with Russians, including Trump Jr who met with Russians to dig up dirt on Hillary. Trump even admitted on national television that he would accept foreign assistance to slander Hillary, and not inform the FBI about it. So there is much more weight behind the Russian accusations than there is about voter fraud. But regardless of that, there is also a difference between the Russian investigation and what the Texas lawsuit is trying to do. If we were just talking about people asking for investigations into voter fraud, then maybe you would have a point, they could be compared. But Texas lawsuit is specifically asking for millions upon millions of votes to be thrown out, and for states to just hand Trump the election. That is nothing short of treason and sedition.

@dirtbill yeah, I may have my own axe to grind, but I am not the one who wrote the article. And yes, my statement is 100% factual - early Republicans were the Liberals fighting for abolition, Democrats were the Conservatives fighting for segregation, and at a point they switched. The Democratic party is still made up of a majority of Classic Liberals - they are still pro-Capitalism, favor corporations and the wealthy, think they are better than most people... there is just enough social justice in them to be considered to the left of the Republicans. If they adopted your so-called "Marxist" ideology, then why did Biden win the primary and is now President-Elect, instead of the actual Socialist Bernie? Perhaps you need to leave your echo chamber and actually look at the real world. Trump is most definitely racist, from his policies to his rhetoric - violating civil rights laws in the past by denying black people housing, his original rise in the Conservative circles from his "birtherism" claims, a "Muslim" ban, calling black countries "shitholes", the completely useless wall, his treatment of Puerto Rico, his continuation and worsening of child separation on the border, his continued bullying of the exonerated Central Park Five - the Republicans unwavering support and defense of anything that man does makes them complicit. > Americans are more likely to agree (61%) than disagree (37%) with the statement “When Americans speak up and protest unfair treatment by the government, it always makes our country better.” However, Americans are less likely to agree (52%) and more likely to disagree (47%) with the statement “When Black Americans speak up and protest unfair treatment by the government, it always makes our country better.” Republicans are 25 percentage points more likely to agree that protests make the country better when the statement does not mention Black Americans (49%) than they are when the protesters are specified as Black Americans (24%). Among Republicans who most trust Fox News, this effect grows to 37 percentage points: 47% favor the statement without Black Americans, compared to only 10% who favor the statement when the protesters are identified as Black Americans. You also had the outright racism and opposition to civil rights as exhibited by presidents such as Nixon and Reagan. Don't even get me started on Strom Thurmond's impact on the party. You think Democrats use tokenism? The Republicans basically seek out black people to agree with them, and throw them at the media to say "see, black people agree with us!" Look at the idolization of people like Ben Carson, or Candace "Hitler Was Right" Owens.

This was where people stopped playing the Catholic / Protestant / Baptist identity card, and had a more unified "Christian" identity to further push their agenda. And right-wing government definitely did not champion gay rights. Marriage equality wasn't passed until Obama, which was sort-of set in to motion due to a "gaffe" by our President-Elect Joe Biden acting as his VP. We have two right-wing Supreme Court justices currently trying to overturn it. Reagan was very much against gay rights, as was Nixon. George W Bush wanted to keep sodomy laws on the books. Trump banned transgender individuals from the military, as well as other degradations on gay and trans rights. The right-wing platform is tied down by pro-Christianity and anti-gay/trans.

There was also plenty of money devoted to multiple Benghazi hearings, all of which had the same conclusion, and an attempt to repeal the ACA over and over and over again. As for fraud that could benefit Trump... How about the unauthorized GOP ballot boxes placed in California? The state's Republican party placed dozens of unauthorized ballot drop off boxes in several counties, which they would then collect and send through officially. What was to stop them from changing the ballots before sending them along, trying to give Trump a chance in California? Hmmm... How about a group called Kenosha For Trump in Wisconsin making calls to Pennsylvanians to force through late, therefore illegal, votes. Either this was to try and push PA to go to Trump through illegal means, or an attempt to get some illegal votes through to try and cry foul and throw out the PA results. How about the attempts by Trump lawyer Lane Ruhland to force through Kanye West's name on the ballots, illegally past the due date, in an attempt to hurt Biden. In addition, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of furnishing false information by “renting” a room in his home so that he could register two other individuals to vote. * James Criswell, a Republican from Douglas County, Colorado, pleaded no contest to the charge of double voting in the November 2016 election. * William Hazard, 53, of West Boynton, FL, pleaded guilty to one felony voter registration charge and three misdemeanor charges of attempting to submit false voter registration information. Hazard was hired by a consulting firm to register Republican voters; in the process he illegally switched party registrations for multiple voters and even registered his uncle, an Iowa resident, to vote in Florida. * Toni Lee Newbill, of Colorado, pleaded guilty to voting twice using her deceased father’s name to do so, once in the 2013 general election and again in the Republican primary of 2016. * In the 2016 election, a Trump voter in Iowa got caught trying to vote twice in Des Moines, and when asked for an explanation, she said, "the polls are rigged." * In the 2016 election, a Texas Republican, who claimed to be associated with the ...

So Trump actually got more votes than Obama as well? Biden campaigned plenty... and you could even say Trump campaigned for him. A lot of people voted for Biden to vote *against* Trump - he was that terrible of a candidate. You want to talk about words? Would you like to see the words of some of Trump's most loyal supporters currently? Ted Cruz called Trump a "sniveling coward", "pathological liar", "utterly amoral", "a narcissist at a level I don't think this country's ever seen", and "a serial philanderer". Donald is a bully ... bullies don't come from strength they come from weakness." Let's also not forget that Trump called Cruz's wife ugly and insinuated his dad had a hand in killing JFK. Yet now Cruz is a huge Trump supporter, even campaigning for him. Lindsey Graham said of Trump, “he's a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot ... know how you make America great again? Tell Donald Trump to go to hell.” He also said, "we have to reject this demagoguery, and if we don't reject Donald Trump, we've lost the moral authority … to govern this great nation." And then he said of Biden, "if you can't admire Joe Biden as a person then there's probably — you've got a problem ... [He is] as good a man as God ever created ... is the nicest person I think I ever met in politics." Graham was also famously super close with John McCain, a man Trump consistently attacked, even after death. Yet now Graham is one of Trump's most vocal loyal supporters. In 2015, Trump called for a "Muslim ban" - Mike Pence responded with "calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. are offensive and unconstitutional." Yet he became his running mate anyway. You honestly can't fathom how there would be a record turn-out this time around? More people are of eligible voting age this year than in 2008, 2012, and 2016. With the pandemic, mail-in voting was expanded greatly, making voting much more accessible to people (legal, living, American citizens). I keep bringing it up on this site. Pretty much every single state in the US was a mix of red and blue counties... except West Virginia and Oklahoma. Not a single blue county, 100% red. Even Delaware, Biden's home state, had a ...

You're comparing a song about a man pressuring a woman to have sex with him with a song about a woman being comfortable with her sexuality. That's like dismissing a song about how women shouldn't vote because there's a different song or a woman says she enjoys voting.
JacksonNought replies on Dec 4, 2020:
@GeeMac, @Haraldson Women are equal. What's that have to do with anything? The woman says no a ton of times, and the man doesn't accept it. Honestly I don't care about the song. I don't celebrate Christmas, so I don't listen to it to begin with. I've also heard other interpretations that make it less-awful, such as the woman wants to be with him, but society wouldn't let a woman be casual like a man. In any case, it really hasn't aged well. But still, I don't care about the song. The odd thing is trying to compare BICO with WAP. It's not much different than saying how dare you call a song with a white person saying the N word racist, since there is a song where a black person says it. The dumb notion in the OP is that WAP is misogynistic in any way.
Rudy Giuliani Farts at HUMILIATING Trump Fraud "Hearing"
FrankZeleniuk comments on Dec 3, 2020:
There's no evidence it was Rudy. Well... there may be a little bit of evidence but not enough to warrant an investigation.
JacksonNought replies on Dec 3, 2020:
I demand a full investigation, we'll take it to the Supreme Court if need be.

Twitter won’t be around much longer. I’m surprised people are still using it. Outlets like Parler will take Over. 74+ million Americans voted For Trump and they are pissed at the legacy media and generally disgruntled with identity politics, thought and speech control and hyper aggression ...
JacksonNought replies on Dec 3, 2020:
Using that logic, 80+ million Americans voted for Biden, so I guess Twitter isn't going anywhere. Not to mention it is used by people all around the globe, not just America. Maybe if Trump got off Twitter, it would be impacted. But he would never do that.

They aren't litigating. They are, as a private company, setting the rules for using their free platforms. No one has a right to use a social media platform.
Do you believe the election results?

Trump was prepared for this to happen. I have no doubt that he has everything under control. I think he allowed for it to happen so he can get the ultimate revenge for how he's been treated these past 4 years. When he is declared President heads are going to explode!
JacksonNought replies on Dec 3, 2020:
@ktpinto I guess that makes over 250k people dead no big deal?

@Lightman uh huh, which is is why you repeat the "fake news" line. I don't blame Trump for everything in the world, just the terrible things he has actually done. And being an actual American, you can see the direct effect of what he has done. You seem to blame liberals for everything wrong in the world.

JacksonNought replies on Dec 3, 2020:
@Serg97 I'll address vote-in-person first. We are in the midst of a terrible pandemic, with 250k Americans already dead. Some people are immuno-compromised, and cannot risk leaving the house to go vote, especially when there are others who don't take it seriously or take safety precautions. It's unfair to deny people voting rights from this. Not to mention, there are several states which already do mail-ins, and it's never been an issue before. You then also remove all absentee ballots, including depriving active-duty military members from voting. When it comes to proof of citizenship, or voter id, I am all for it - as long as we ensure everyone has a clear and easy path towards getting one. While we're at it, we should also make election day a national holiday, expand polling locations and hours, and abolish gerrymandering.

JacksonNought replies on Dec 3, 2020:
@Serg97 if we did an election re-do, how exactly would you change it? Would we get a couple months to do mail-ins again and early voting in states which allow it? If we don't have a clear new president on Jan 20, Trump doesn't just get to stay - he needs to leave, and Pelosi would become acting president until a clear winner is decided... unless you think we should suspend the Constitution to get around that as well? If so, then what's to stop Biden and the Dems from suspending the Constitution to reverse what they see as fraud in the appointment of the last 3 SCOTUS justices - add Merrick Garland and remove Barrett.
Stop the crap about Sydney Powell.

@Lightman my "side" accepts the election results. Your "side" is saying it was massive fraud, and Trump won by a landslide. My proof is the election results. Now the burden of proof is on you to provide actual evidence that it was fraudulent. Also, the impeachment had nothing to do with Russia. If you want to treat this election thing like the Mueller investigation and impeachment, go right ahead - the Dems can block all investigation and obstruct justice, and then claim they are totally exonerated.

@MDonaldson until that evidence is seen, there's a concept of "innocent until proven guilty" that we have. So until the actual damning evidence is released and vetted, everyone can shut up with their false narratives.

@Lightman the claim is being made by the Trump side with no proof. That's how burden of proof works. I'm under no obligation to take them seriously without evidence to their claims. Let's have investigations in every state, not just the swing states Biden won in. West Virginia and Oklahoma or both 100% red - not a single blue county. That seems like blatant fraud to me, we should do full investigations.
