Some may believe in flawed gods, some may believe in perfect gods. Some may believe in gods but hate them, some may believe in gods but love them. Some may believe their gods created life and went away, some may believe their gods have an active role in day-to-day life. Some may believe their gods want animal or human sacrifice, some may believe their gods think you should kill gay people, and some may think their gods just want everyone to get along. There are thousands of different gods and religions that people used to or currently believe in. Basing a free society on the beliefs of just one of those gods / religions doesn't work, as it cannot truly be free. Trying to use "I am a person of faith" should be no more important in running for office as saying "I am a person who loves bowling".

It would be nice to live in a country where "I'm a person of faith" isn't a political selling point.

You make fair points, but the first paragraph is pretty telling of his views. He uses terms like "delicate girl" and laughs at the notion that Mulan could have "military success on an equal basis" - nothing to do with concerns over cohabitation. He then equates sexual assault to consenting relationships, and tries to make an argument of "men can't control themselves, so punish women" which is similar to current Sharia Law in Muslim countries. His evangelical religious views are well known, so it is not a stretch to see how his "morality" dictates his view that women shouldn't be in positions of power and that men and women should not cohabitate unless they are in a traditional Christian marriage. It is not much different than excuses to keep the military segregated before, and to keep gay and trans individuals out of the military after. It is disrespectful to the troops to assume they are monsters who cannot control themselves and must be separated to prevent assaults. I am willing to bet his views today would be much of the same.

@SpikeTalon I don't deny your personal experience, though I think you will agree that anecdotal evidence isn't the most reliable. As I said before, I am positive that there are violent opportunists who identify as "ANTIFA" and go around committing crimes, and I am positive there are some people who decide to form a local group to organize and protest and call themselves "ANTIFA" or even multiple organizations who choose to protest under the moniker. But I do not believe there is a vast conspiracy of ANTIFA terrorist cells coordinating attacks or something like that. It's similar to my thoughts on the whole "Soros" conspiracies - I am sure there are elites on both the left and right who try to stir up the populace to help line their pockets and push their agendas, and we have seen evidence again from both sides of people being paid to cause trouble or make the other side look bad. But I don't believe there is some wide conspiracy of every left-wing protester being paid by Soros. My thoughts on ANTIFA can be likened to the Pro-Life cause. It is an idea / movement. Sure, there are organizations that push the Pro-Life agenda, and groups which do organize and plan protests, but there isn't a singular Pro-Life organization that coordinates everything and has members and a unified structure. Pro-Life people have murdered doctors, bombed clinics, kidnapped and intimidated women, etc - things you could definitely consider a textbook definition of domestic terrorism. Yet I don't think "Pro-Life" should be labeled a domestic terrorist group. That is how I also see ANTIFA. As far as Proud Boys go, I will share my own anecdotal evidence. I saw first hand groups of Proud Boys in Philly patrolling neighborhoods with weapons, and going up and attacking random passers-by and hurling slurs at black people. I saw them attack a reporter unprovoked. I've seen posts on their group pages calling for violence, and coordinating efforts to escalate peaceful protests so they could try to kill people. Their founder says "I cannot recommend violence enough. It's a really effective way to solve problems." and their organization literally has a hierarchy where you get promoted if you "get involved in a major fight for the cause." I have friends in Philly who see PB rallys planned almost weekly now, and fear for their lives - way more than any concerns over ANTIFA.
