It's all a matter of taking time to get to know the person, before having too intimate a relationship and making a commitment. I was young, and stupid when I met my first wife. We dated a year, and were engaged for a year before we got married. Through those two years, as I look back from an older and wiser standpoint, I realize there were repeated warnings signs telling me to flee into the night and never look back. As you get to know a woman and if signs pop up telling you to run then....RUN!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise get to know her a little better. My wife now and I were friends for 8 years before we discussed anything more. If she should pass before I do I know I have had the best marriage I could hope to have in this life and end out my life waiting to see her in the next. Good luck, and God Bless!

My ex wife had my kids grow up thinking they had suffered a terrible poverty in their growing up years. My youngest took a trip to southeast Asia about 4 years ago. She visited Vietnam, Thailand, Mynamar, and Cambodia. When she got back she told me how thankful she was she was born in this country, and we talked about how she was so misinformed about poverty in this coutnry. Even though I worried while she was away, I was glad she took that trip. This year she went to Columbia, and saw more of the same, real poverty, and was happy to get home.

I have wondered how it was they brought back Sarah when it most likely did not fit with the story of her demise in the the third movie, and then to see Arnold being in this movie as an old man. The third movie was bad enough with him looking as old as he did when he is a damned robot. I figured they tried telling us Arnold was the "model" for the first terminator. I know I risk being labeled a mysogynist, but that was really a no brainer. Back in CLinton's second term I was taking some classes at the local college. She tried rationalizing this with her previous statement of women can do anything men can do at any time by saying women who would want to go into combat would obviously be stronger than her or the other girl. I do believe this is still controversial, primarily because this perpetuates the myth that is you pay a doctor to mutilate your body you can change what you were born as. This is a very hard one to call. With new borns one has a great worry about all the things that might happen. With both my daughters they recieved the vaccinations given kids to one year old, then their mother and I decided to hold off. I have a strong mistrust of them these days because our government is very corrupt. Look at the swine flu vaccine they have pushed so hard, the vaccinations killed more people than the flu did. As an older man I am not taking the various annual vaccines they push, the flu shot, shingles etc. I have never had a flu shot, never have had the flu. Yet everyone I know who has had the flu shot has also suffered the flu, people like my mother in law seems to just have to talk to someone on the phone and if they have the flu she contracts it even though she gets their vaccination every year. My mother held off getting one until she was around 75. Had never had the flu then had it several times before she passed away at 87. If the child is going to be in an area where there are large numbers of foreign immigrants, particualrly illegals I think would defintiely opt for the vaccines for the first year at least. Congratulations though on the new addition to the family. I so miss my girls being babies, but then having adult children to talk with is also a blessing in it's own right. God Bless!

Personally I think marriage is first and foremost about two people making a commitment to each other. The only thing I would disagree with about not having kids would be using abortion as a means of birth control. Personally being a father was a very important consideration in my life. Sadly I was young, and stupid and chose the wrong woman to have kids with. I went down that path of choosing a partner that had suffered a psychotic break from reality. The only thing I would suggest as far as getting married is making sure your intended spouse has the same idea about parenting. As cliche as it is, honesty is the best policy. Oddly enough my youngest kiddo just broke up with her boyfriend because they have oppsoing thoughts about having kids. She wants them, he doesn't, but siad he may change his mind in 15 years or so. She is not willing to wait and see if he does. Kind of made me sad because I really liked the guy, but I am glad they were both adult enough to face that situation head on.

I grew up in West Texas, but always loved watching movies that took place in the mountains and forests. Jeremiah Johnson was a favorite when I was a kid, and mainly because of the scenery. Back in 2005 I had moved back up to Oregon from Texas. I had trouble getting work, and when I did start working I had to save up a month's worth of paychecks to be able to afford a place to live. So on my days off I would head out into the woods to pitch my tent. The rest of the time I had a place not far our of town up in the woods where I parked my car to sleep in. One night while out in the woods I started getting a little depressed about my situation. Then I got to thinking about where I grew up, and how much I dreamed about being in the mountians one day. As I thought about things I realized I was actually living a childhood dream. The rest of my time living out of car was not bad at all. I did appreciate getting into a house when I did, and God opened up a situation where I got a little furniture.

I think part of the problem is that Hollywood is trying to force action hero women on us who are obviously NOT any kind of tough guy. I started watching The Punisher series on netflix. Overall I have enjoyed it, but they have a scene in the second season I think where the Punisher is fighting two women in a bathroom ina tavern. He picks one of them up smacking her head against a ceramic sink, smashing the sink to pieces. She lays for a minute then gets up fighting him like she is his physical equal, but both the women he was fighting were not equal to his weight when put together, and neither had any muscle mass to speak of. Just the sink smack would have easily killed the one. They talk about Matt Damon in the Borune movies. That's another problem. Some mutt actor makes millions in movies like those where they are shooting all the bad guys every time they turn around, but then comes out saying he thinks we should strip the Second Amendment from the Constitution and nobody should own guns but the government, and his body guards. I have a real hard time separating the characters from the morons the actors make themselves out to be.

An excellent question I think all citizens should think about. I have had a similar thought running through my mind for a couple of decades now, what would it take for me to be willing to take up arms in defense of my family, and country? I really don't think things will pan out the way most folks are looking at it. The right is thinking socialists like antifa will push things a little too hard, citizens will stand up to them, and they believe the government will step in on their side against antifa, and the socialists. Basically the socialists are thinking the same thing. If antifa thugs get conservatives angry enough they will attack in large numbers, and the government will back the socialists in shutting down the conservatives. I tend to think the folks creating so much division in this country are above, and beyond the right left ideologies, people who have a whole other agenda. There are memes asking us to consider the fact elected reps being paid roughly $170,000.00 a year are becoming millionaires in rather short order. SOme of them, like Bernie Sanders say it is because he wrote a book. I doubt Bernie had anything of interest to say in his book, even to his supporters, that would earn him and additional million dollars a year. His book deal is just a money laundering scam to explain his sudden bank account explosion of cash. Hillary claimed poverty when her and Bill left the White House but it was shown they a net worth of over 8 million, and, if I remember correctly, that did not include their multi million dollar properties. There are globalist interests that have been working hard to see the United States falter, and give away it's sovereignty. These are billionaires, and trillionaires who belong to such groups like the Bilderbergs, and they interfere in our politics all the time, have for decades. They have something to do with formation of groups like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and Lord only knows what others. When conservatives, and socialists do get in fights in the streets the government will come down on both sides, consolidating their power, and abandoning the Constitution for the safety of the people. Sadly most folks will be happy for this loss of liberty to have the government take care of them, and keep them safe. Look at how happy republicans were with the passage of the Patriot Act, and how the socialist are so gleeful when laws are introduced limiting free speech to get control of those "hate" words, or when taxes are jacked up to pay people to be unproductive. I always take polls with a grain of salt, especially when no information is given about who was really answering the questions. This one seemed very lacking in a real cross section of our society. Not only does none of this mention all the antifa violence when discussing the incivility of poitical discourse, they have this line, "Independents, however, placed the blame on social media and President Donald Trump." My personal experience with independence, myself included, is that for being yet another republican Donald Trump has actually been a bit of fresh, honest air in politics. Even when we do not necessarily agree with his tweets we still find it refreshing that someone is honest, and not cow towing to the PC culture crap. As for civil war, I do believe we are just a few antifa attacks, and tyrannical laws away from a real fight in the streets. Whether it escalates into a full civil war, can be debated, but the more people are attacked by idiots like antifa, while the police are on stand down orders and just watch, or only arrest people defending themselves things will get far more violent. Martial law will be inacted in places, if not nationally, and that will be the deciding moment. I fear far too many citizens are so afraid of a real fight we might not actually have a civil war. He thought he could get me riled by accusing me of exercising Soviet style censorship. They are a bit more careful of prematurely calling winners in actual elections, but when it comes to primaries both parties have no problem making early announcement when it looks like the candidate of the party leader's choice is not getting the over whelming votes they hoped for. When John McCain was running in the primaries which would pit him against O-bomb-a the GOP called him the primary winner when quite a few states had not even had their primary elections yet. I always despised McCain. He wanted to drop out of the republican party and fly his true democrat colors but didn't because the area he watned to live in, and be elected in would never support a democrat. When he became the GOP candidate I had posted a rant against McCain calling him out for being a rat while he was in the Hanoi Hilton afte rhe had been shot down. A friend commented that the people had chosen McCain so we just had to roll with that no matter what our personal thoughts of him were. I was working in a little neighborhood convenient store years ago. I was standing outside this door by the registers having a smoke when I hear my coworker ask some kid what he was supposed to be dressed as. The kid told him his mom did not have enough money to buy him a costume so my coworker starts telling this kid how he should have just made one from stuff around the house, and that because he was not wearing a costume he was not getting any candy. I stopped in the door to find this little 7-8 year old boy with a very disappointed look on his face. I told the coworker to go away then told the kid to go get his a full size candy from as an apology for my coworkers being a jerk. WHen the kid cme back to the counter I told him if anyone else asked him what he was dressed as he needed to give them a real mean look, then tell them "I am dressed up as my evil twin brother". I had him practice the mean look a couple of times, then had him go give his answer to my coworker. He was pretty happy with that.

Some of the things that have come along in recent years. In Oregon an ATF agent raided shop that sold air soft rifles, and paint ball equipment. He took $30,000 worth of air soft rifles saying they could be turned into fully automatic weapons firing live ammunition and a person would not even have to do any machine work on them. I saw some former NYPD guy that ran some kind of security firm carrying on about a new Israeli rifle that fired a .223 round. He talked about how fast the bullet traveled and claimed the gun was so dangerous they had to put a guard around the trigge to prevent accidental firings. At the end of his interview he said this rifle was powerful enough to hunt elephants with. Then there was the "reporter" who claimed to be suffering from PTSD from firing 4 rounds from an AR15. And I love to watch them try defining what an assault rifle is.

Not sure what the laws are like up there but even though police will tell people they can not film cops witout permission it is legal, and several police departments around the country have had to pay out 100s of thousands for false arrests when they take people in who refuse to quit filming.
