I believe in the 2nd Amendment, and believe that every law abiding citizen should have the right to own whatever firearms they feel comfortable owning and using, regardless of what state they live in, and do NOT believe any state has the right to restrict or remove those rights from someone who has done nothing wrong to justify it. i.e. committed crimes with said weapons, or is mentally unstable.

Though I am a white heterosexual Christian man, I don't care if there are those who are none of those things and have different beliefs and attractions. i.e. Atheist, gay (or otherwise), not male and all that might mean for said person. In other words, if two men, or women, or whatever other "gender" choice is made, want to be married, then I believe that they should be able to do so and be as miserable or as happy as the the rest of the married world is. However, I also believe that if a particular religious denomination refuses to perform said wedding in a church/religious ceremony, that too is the right of that particular denomination. Goes back to my belief of live and let live... don't try to force your beliefs/desires of your choosing, on someone else who does not see things the same way.

I have been married to the same woman for most of my life, as we met when I was 16 and she was 14, and we have been together ever since, and got married after she graduated High School.

I spent 5 1/4 years in The Air Force, and I respect our military and the sacrifices they have to make, and think this country needs to continue to improve the standard of living for those who are serving.

I believe government should be as minimalistic as possible, and should keep its respective "nose" out of people's lives as much as possible. The free market system should be our standard we strive for, and government should only seek to prevent interference with that system, and not try to control it. I also believe the government should learn to live within their means, as they expect the citizenry to do. I certainly can't overdraft my bank account by a Trillion Dollars, and I don't think the government should be doing that either.

I don't have an issue with providing people a "hand up", but I do have an issue with a system that continues to provide "hand outs" to generation after generation without any incentive to get off the government "tit" so to speak. Like the old proverb: "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." In other words, giving generation after generation of people on welfare money for nothing in return, only perpetuates the cycle that will never end.

I also believe there should not be a single homeless &/or hungry person in this country while we are sending billions, if not trillions, of dollars in foreign aid to other countries. When we have veterans living homeless and hungry on the streets of this country, something has gone horribly wrong in our priorities. Eliminate all the pork-barrel politics and get full value for the public money that is expended for the various social programs. These should all be designed in such a way to facilitate getting people to the point of being self-sufficient contributing members of society, and have them eternally getting money for nothing.

Okay, I was ALL OVER THE PLACE... but that is how my mind wanders at times. HA!

Summary:
Proud Texan, born and raised.
Proud American.
Freedom is NOT free, but was earned by blood of our soldiers, and has been defended by the same since this country was born.
Politically moderate, but probably lean more right on some issues, and maybe more left on others, but believe in everyone's right to their own beliefs without the need to bash them for being different from mine.
Christian by choice and belief that Jesus was the son of God who was sent to die for our sins, and to rise from the dead to cleanse the sins of man for Eternity. My statement to anyone who disagrees is simple: Better to believe in, and accept Christ as my Savior and get to the end of my life and have been wrong that it was not true, as opposed to the opposite and NOT believing and getting to the end and finding out it WAS true. The eternal consequences of THAT choice would not be one that I could endure.

Anyway, if you read all this, you must be as bored as I am, so go find a better hobby, and take care of yourself.
