According to the Argumentative Theory of Reasoning, argument did not evolve as a tool for pursuing truth, but just for winning arguments, regardless of facts. I am here to struggle against this evolutionary brain bug.

My own politics are leftist. Far leftist. Go as left as you ca go, and peer as far as you can left of that position, and you will see me waving bellow far off in the left wing distance.

If we are all here to use reason to arrive at truth, and we all argue in good faith, the fact that we start from different premises should mean we explore more facets of any topic we discuss, and generate more true conclusions.
