What is everyone's opinion on the word "Retard"

And OJ is looking for the person who killed his wife. Having served on a jury, one quickly recognizes that convicting criminals is extremely difficult. Especially when the alleged homosexual pedophile pays off one of the witnesses who can describe abnormalities on his appendage. I'm not saying go Kavanaugh on everybody, but we don't have convince all 12 voices in our head that someone is guilty before we can come to a reasonable conclusion.
No way this will pass the Federal Supreme Court.

"Advocates" who coach illegal immigrants how to abuse the asylum system should be prosecuted and thrown in jail. Real asylum seekers will be paying the penalty for this corruption. Passing legislation is what elected officials get to do. If you have a specific bill and position, please post. Verbal attacks against people who buy ink by the barrel should be foolish. The idea that the leftist media needs protection from verbal assaults is a weak argument. Now if the president were seizing phone records from reporters or investigating them as co-conspirators in news leaks...

It is crucial that the College offer courses taught about people of color by people of color so that students may engage in and produce meaningful work that represents them authentically." - This is racism (for those who have trouble seeing it, just replace black with white and v v) and is followed by more racist and sexist demands. Of course it's preceded by someone's Santa Claus list ("and for Christmas I want detergent for the washer machines, and free housing, free food, .... " they still believe!). Is the Right actually individualist and the Left collective?
RobBlair comments on Mar 11, 2019:
I'll go one further. The left doesn't have a collectivist mentality. If you are a conservative black, they hate you more. If you are a conservative woman, they hate you more. Non-leftist gay, Dave Reuben, you are the enemy. They are not collectivists. They are divide and conquerors. They aren't for anything except their agenda. Does a high or low, in the historical past, constitute president for today's legislation?
RobBlair comments on Mar 11, 2019:
The US is the oldest current national government in the world. Its economic success has forwarded much of the human race out of hunger and poverty. In battle our enemies fear us and our allies depend on us. Those who ridicule us are mostly children crying for their milk. The progressives have changed this country in some fundamentally good ways like racial equality and de-legislate consensual behavior. Progressives have also experimented on many failed projects (some of which we've learned from, others not so much). The trans movement right now seems mostly void of intelligence but I might be wrong. Killing children continues to be a blindside, I couldn't tell you why. Trying to shut down free speech is a definite no no and needs to be responded to whenever allowed. Things are good - here, try an infusion of this - https://www.humanprogress.org/
Is Nationalism More Harmful Than Helpful?
RobBlair comments on Mar 11, 2019:
Begs the question - What is the national identity? If the national identity is "We hold that all people are created equal and are endowed with rights" then tying your identity to that nation is good. If the national identity is "Our race is superior and we should rule the world" then not good. If national identity is "God commands us to subjugate or kill the unbelievers" again not good. If national identity is "God commands us to keep his laws and provide food and water to our enemy" - this identity seems like its working out well. If national identity is "The state knows best and tells us what to do" - I'm sure this could work if only implemented properly. Conflating these identities seems like shorthand stupid.

RobBlair comments on Mar 11, 2019:
I still enjoy the music and videos of this homosexual pedophile. It definitely detracts from the enjoyment though. If he were still alive I would avoid purchasing and promoting him and his behavior. No, definitely do not rewrite history. As I understand it, HBO is doing a good job showing the darkness that can happen when we worship these icons. We need to remember this lesson. Robert E Lee's statue at Gettysburg is a good opportunity to talk about why 3/4 million soldiers died and to understand that even a somewhat noble person can be enmeshed in the mechanisms of a failed power system. Black and white history is boring and wrong. There are a lot of grays.

Listened to journalist Lara Logan's 3 hour interview. I get the impression that she's fairly liberal (and courageous), but I also get that she'd tell it to us straight. The filter that is placed between real journalists like her and us needs to go. We don't need to listen to 15 second snipes on TV when we can get full interviews. Does success in school mean success in life?
RobBlair comments on Mar 8, 2019:
High IQ correlates with good grades in school and a higher standard of living. The lie is that a good school produces good students. In truth, when finding a place to live, you look for a school district that performs well. These districts are usually affluent. IQ is mostly genetic and does not improve from an early age. Therefore, the more affluent families produce higher IQ kids that perform well in school and move on to do well. High end colleges do a very good job at sorting through available candidates to enroll high IQ students. Alright, I'll look at Matt Walsh's video (I usually stick to Shapiro and Klavan). Einstein received the highest marks in math and science in school and performed well in other studies. Einstein was only bad at politics and dealing with his wife.

Further weakening the connection between productive work and is the wrong direction. We need to work. Short of work, we should suffer to change ourselves so that we become employable. Without that suffering, few of us would make the necessary changes. Suffering, as with work, provides meaning. Climate change: It could turn out much worse than we think Climate and weather are considered to...
RobBlair comments on Mar 6, 2019:
Climate - It is already way better than what they predicted - I'll just pull out a couple of things - "Interactions are non-linear, meaning that small changes in inputs, physical interactions or stimuli can cause large effects or very significant changes in outputs." is wishy washy language. It is just as correct to say non-linear means large inputs could cause very insignificant outputs. I bring this up because increasing changes in CO2 concentrations cause diminishing changes in the greenhouse warming effect. "Predictions of future states of climate are impossible." - ? No. The models are getting more sophisticated. Hopefully the inputs are more accurate. They are definitely predicting the future state of climate. Whether they are accurate or not will be discovered. Actions if one wants to minimize risk: - OK, no. This presumes too much. The goal of anything and everything is not to minimize risk (stay home in bed under a blanket). The best way I've seen to approach the global warming issue is economically. What approach should be used to maximize wealth over the next 100 years? This can account for future losses due to global warming, sea rising, more storms, etc... The great thing about this approach is that someone has already done it and ranked it against other global economic issues. https://www.copenhagenconsensus.com/ I don't know much about global warming, but I know with great confidence that giving more power to a bunch of lawyers in DC, who think they know anything about the environment, is an epic fail. This is based on very sophisticated models using very accurate inputs showing our government is filled with a bunch of smart idiots who are happy to ruin this country for political votes [sarcasm intended].

RobBlair comments on Mar 6, 2019:
I'm gonna agree with the Trace a little on this one. If you are in a domestic abuse relationship the first step is to end the relationship and hopefully get a restraining order. Only after proper boundaries have been reestablished should a fire arm be introduced into the mix. Further, I am against brandishing a firearm. IMO, the first time a perpetrator recognizes that there is a firearm, should be the last thing they remember. Of course the Trace quoting, “there is no clear evidence that in the hands of victims, firearms are protective.” is hilarious. A firearm in the hands of a woman prevents her from being the victim. This is the goal, right?

If so they engage in a trade and it continues. No government required. Of course dishonest reviews will cause dissatisfaction but that dissatisfaction will devalue everything in that market. So it is in the longterm interest of that market to police the reviews.

Marxism vs Fascism... discuss
RobBlair comments on Mar 5, 2019:
Marxism usually pertains to an international movement of workers rising up against the man where fascism is a national movement that incorporates some sense of national identity. Both involve state control over the markets and businesses and minimizes the individual. History shows that Marxism continues to spread where fascism dies with the failure of the country. I'd compare the 2 to malignant and benign cancer respectively. Marxism seems less evil because we don't see it. We see the concentration camps from Hitler. I've met gentlemen with bar-codes tattooed on their arm. We are kept almost completely ignorant of the Marxist failures in Venezuela, North Korea, Eastern Europe and the USSR. Remember all those videos in school showing Mao killing his own people? Yeah I don't either. Venezuela just happened. Did you see all those videos of poor starving people? Nope.

Parkland - FBI / government failed to do their job (as well as many others) - Sheriff fired, superintendent may be fired today, security guard fired. https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/fbi-statement-on-the-shooting-in-parkland-florida San Bernadino - Monster radicalized neighbor who illegally straw purchased weapons and planned terrorist attack - HR8 wouldn't help Sutherland Springs - Air Force did not properly report monster's gun ownership ineligibility - nobody has been fired yet. Las Vegas - Shooter was legally able to own guns - HR8 wouldn't help Sandy Hook - I so wish I could go back in time and give Lauren Rousseau and the other teachers handguns. She gave her life for her students. I'd prefer she took the monster's life instead. Schools need to harden and monsters need to fear for their lives from every teacher and school employee.

First establish that life begins before birth. Then ask - if its OK to kill a baby's life what protection do you have from the state killing you?
Do you agree with Trump building this wall? Why/ why not?
RobBlair comments on Mar 3, 2019:
Congressman Dan Crenshaw had a talk on this on Shapiro's Sunday special. According to Border Patrol Agents we catch 400,000 illegals every year. Border Patrol estimate they catch 1 out of 3. I don't want an illegal underclass in this nation.

Totally missed an opportunity. Should've said that they could remove the offending outfit by paying for it. Currently on sale for twice its price. Then he could badger them for being all talk. I guess he can the Nazi party with Ben Shapiro. Just what will we call real nazis?

RobBlair comments on Mar 3, 2019:
How about security cameras, guns, ammo and NRA signs. Maybe I'm fooling myself, but I don't see this as a racial problem. This is just thugs wanting to steal from the farmers and a permissive government that looks the other way. I'd imagine that black farmers and black farmhands would be happy to support law and order against these thugs. Please tell what I'm missing.
Too many choices make people unhappy. What do you think? Have an example from your life?
RobBlair comments on Mar 2, 2019:
I could see being overwhelmed by choices but what comes to mind: A supermarket with 12 different kinds of apples from other parts of the world next to products and produce a king from 50 years ago couldn't acquire. Home Depot with plywood in 1/ inch thickness increments. All different bolts and screws with different finishes and lengths. I think of these things and feel blessed.
Do you think children should be vaccinated? Why/ why not?
RobBlair comments on Mar 2, 2019:
The standard vaccines for children have benefits that far outweigh the risks.

This makes me laugh every time I take it! I know it doesn't change but this is like an interactive Babylon Bee article. How about "...you can make some improvement to your score by getting more involved with Islam or Judaism,..." - Oh really? "You may award yourself up to 5 points depending on the level of your activism." And if you land on "Free Parking" well nobody really knows that either.

Well now that you've arrived at Galts Gulch, have a seat, take a breath and watch them desperately tear themselves apart. No host at the Oscars because a black man joked about wanting to be a grandfather someday. The trans movement undermines the gays. The Greenies now want to eliminate PETA's cows. And they've lost all pretense about defending the value of life. Another fine mess they've gotten themselves in.

Everyone has an interest in politics and philosophy. Sex - Did you know the leftists want us to agree that having sex with a transgender man .... Cars - think of the innovation and work that goes into a car. Those people should be rewarded more. Football - Good players are not equal but everyone has a chance.
It's no wonder the latter would constantly shift negative focus on the former.

What's your opinion on teacher's unions?
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
I like good teachers being paid well and bad teachers being fired. I also despise the idea that the unions and the politicians can get together to spend taxpayer money on each other. Government unions should be prohibited.
Is it time for the states to invoke Article V?
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
"Here's a quick preview. The Convention passed amendment proposals on the following six ideas: 1. The public debt shall not be increased except upon a recorded vote of two-thirds of each house of Congress. 2. Term limits on Congress 3. Limiting federal overreach by returning the Commerce Clause to its original meaning 4. Limiting the power of federal regulations by giving an easy congressional override 5. Require a super majority for federal taxes and repeal the 16th Amendment 6. Give the states (by a 3/5ths vote) the power to abrogate any federal law, regulation or executive order." Love item 3. Might be time to sign up.

Does failing to buy health insurance create externalities?
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Failing to pay for a service is called theft and it does create externalities. There are situations where we, as a society, would want to provide treatment for health conditions for those who can't afford them and I could see a mandate as appropriate given: for emergency care only, charged at the market rate. Beyond that I do not want to decouple the authority to use a service with the responsibility for paying for the service as it creates economic moral hazards and will eventually fail the system. Unfortunately, opening the door even a crack allows bureaucrats to purchase votes by giving away other people's money.

What is Trump to a Trump fan? (poll:What do you think THEY think?)
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Cruz was too young and Trump said he'd build the wall. Currently, considering the lunacy on the left (infanticide, slavery to the state and no economic reality), its hard to moderate my support for him, although I do try.

Extreme socialist policies could backfire on Democrats in 2020... [americanlookout.com]
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Demographically, conservatives have an uphill climb. Trump won the election because the lazy left didn't bother to vote. 2018, where both sides were activated, ushered in a wave against conservatives mostly because of Trump. I'd think it difficult for someone who gets their news from the MSM to even consider Trump palatable. This is why they fear Schultz. He's palatable to the left and his policies aren't to the left of Hitler, Mao and Stalin.

Illegal activity was engaged in by the local authorities (poll watchers were arrested and a man casting his ballot was shot). Petition of redress to the governor was ignored. Local Sheriff militarized by hiring 200 outside deputies. Yes, a clear failure of government. Very disappointed in the lack of legal retribution against the machine after the event. At the least, the "sheriff" should have been charged and tried for breaking the law.
What's people's thoughts on Tommy Robinson being banned from all social media????
RobBlair comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Facebook stated “Tommy Robinson’s Facebook Page has repeatedly broken these standards, posting material that uses dehumanizing language and calls for violence targeted at Muslims. He has also behaved in ways that violate our policies around organized hate,” https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2019/02/26/facebook-bans-far-right-activist-tommy-robinson/?utm_term=.c0e0b7e88de5 Does anyone have any knowledge of TR posting calls for violence targeted at Muslims? If he did then good for Facebook for holding up their standards. As one would expect, it is more likely that TR did not make such an amateur mistake and this is just Facebook trying to avoid conflict from people who practice freedom of speech in a violent way - https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/02/facebook-bans-tommy-robinson-falsely-claiming-he-calls-for-violence-against-muslims

This idea/experiment that every human has equally inherent dignity and worth has, for our nation, eventually brought the end of slavery and much of racism. It has pushed us to fringes of sexual equality and argues against the historically normal "powerful having control over the powerless" type governments. I vote nay to the suggested amendment. As for rationality, I'd argue that only someone who can demonstrate that they have more inherent value or worth is allowed to modify this statement. The obvious problem, of course, is figuring out what gives you inherent worth.
